Great way to watch northern lights. - It was a great way to see northern lights activity. The tour is so dedicated for the solo purpose and that is great. I would like to know how can I access to the photos that your guide took in the night.

Good tour operator - They hosts were very nice, the place was good. Unfortunately it was too cloudy so we weren’t able to see the aurora but they tried their best to show us.

PERFECT - THIS TOUR is amazing !!!! As a photographer who wanted to get great shots of the Aurora . This is the tour Id recommend and I went with four different tour company’s while in Yellowknife. Jimmy the owner and his team are all such incredible friendly real genuine down to earth people. They truly want their customers to see the Northern Lights more then the customers actual want to see them. This means they do absolutely everything they can to find the Aurora. I stayed in Yellowknife for almost 5 weeks and I’d go to Jimmys lake property as often as possible. This is where you most likely will go on if you join this tour. The property is perfect is on the edge of town on a frozen lake so a short drive from the hotels. Photographers If your looking to get some cool compositions you can do this on this tour. Lots of different angles to shoot from and the property is big enough that you can step away from the group if your worried about other lights and stuff getting in your shoot.I was worried about this when booking a group tour but it all worked out. He is a very good northern lights photographer so he can give you some great advice for getting good photos. He also takes photos and real time video which is real cool. We had such success!! I think I went out 15-20 nights and we saw them 16-17 nights. Nights we didn’t see them was because of thick cloud not much you can do about that. All in all this is a tour a must do. Chasing tours are fun and yes you get different compositions but your also stuck in a van for hours. Do his Aurora chasing tour as well … but the tour where you go to his lake property is THE BEST

Great tour - Great arrangement. They take an extra step to fulfill our needs. It’s actually end of season but they’re willing to start the tour very late at 10:30pm. The guide Wendy is wonderful and I join the Chinese guided tour. Wendy helped to ensure we take the best pictures and willing to stay outdoor while we can keep warm inside the car and she’ll call us out when the lights coming. We’re able to see the northern light and the dancing show 😂 strongly recommend

Mandatory tip? - Jimmy was great! Saw a little bit of Aurora but unfortunately was too cloudy. Still had a fun time. Be prepared for a random guy (not Jimmy) going around asking for a $10 per person mandatory tip.

Awesome guides, good view of Aurora , fun picture spots !!! - We saw the Aurora !!! It was really great !! I’d recently spent over two weeks in Whitehorse and this evening was ten times brighter, and more active then anything Whitehorse had Aurora wise. I’d def. Recommend going with these guys. Jimmy and his colleague was were supper knowledgeable and friendly. Jimmy the owner and guide has been in Yellowknife for 35 years. Thanks again can’t wait for my other nights out with you guys.

The operators were very kind and helpful. - We did see the aurora. I think It would be better further away from town. The nearby lights from industrial areas were distracting. The operators were very helpful and concerned that you be warm and comfortable and let you know if the aurora was visible so you could go out and view it.

A bit tacky but has potential if the lights are out - This was a tour geared to their predominantly speaking Mandarin population. The location feels cheesy … the cabin was not laid out well for relaxing. The area has things to do as you wait for the northern lights. The firepit and tee pee was nice. And the lake would have been beautiful if the lights were out. But was too close to town and felt tacky overall.

We didn’t get to see the... - We didn’t get to see the Aurora due to cloud cover and I understand they can’t guarantee we will se it but even if we had seen it I would still give the same rating. The van we got picked up in smelt like cigarettes, the snacks were basically cookies and saltine crackers. The tour says it is usually 4-5 hours. We were picked up at 9:30 pm and brought back to our hotel by 11:30 pm. Left a message with the guide to see if they could take us out again for a second night, never got a call back. Easy $95 for them!
