Highlights
  • Wings of Tatev - The longest cable-way in the world (approx. 6 km), which was registered in the Guinness book of records in 2010. The Wings of Tatev will take us straight to the 9th century Tatev Monastery, which once was the educational and spiritual center of Armenia. It’s built on a high plateau in the Vorotan river gorge, and is surrounded by breathtaking mountains and dense forests. During your ride, you will enjoy a spectacular view over one of the most beautiful spots in Armenia (if not in the world). Here you will see the Harsnadzor Watchtower and Devil’s Bridge, which is a natural viaduct formed on the river.
  • Tatev Monastery - A monastery dating back to the 9th century, which once used to be an educational and spiritual center of Armenia. It’s built on a high plateau in the Vorotan river gorge, and is surrounded by breathtaking mountains and dense forests.
  • Areni - Areni is known for its spectacular history in wine making, bearing the name of one of the oldest grape varieties in the world. So if you are a Wine connoisseur, don’t miss out on the opportunity to visit Areni and all of its vineyards.
  • Shaki Waterfall - Shaki is considered one of the most picturesque waterfalls in Armenia. It is located in Syunik region, which is famous for its historical and natural monuments.

The waterfall is formed on the Shaki River, on the inflow of Vorotan that falls into a deep gorge from a height of 18 meters. Despite the small height, Shaki waterfall has a large capacity, and the rumbling of water is heard from afar.

There is a legend connected with the Shaki waterfall. The story tells about the beautiful girl Shake, who rushed from the cliff, refusing to obey the will of the conquerors. While falling, the girl’s dress opened in the wind and turned into a waterfall. In honor of Shake, the waterfall was called Shaki.

The territory of Shaki waterfall was inhabited by ancient civilizations that left traces in rock niches and grottoes. A winding road leads to the waterfall, still, you will have to leave the car and get to the waterfall by a narrow path.

Tatev, a corner in the mountains of Armenia - I speak Spanish, the best thing about the tour was the company of our guide Anastasya, who cared about everyone as if we were her family and treated us the same.

Weekend trip to the southern part of Armenia - On a day off we went on this excursion: we visited the 9th century Tatev Monastery, the cable car and tasted more than 6 types of wine. Our guide Anastasia was always with us and answered any questions, 10/10. We really enjoyed!

Amazing day trip from Yerevan - Very nice trip. Both our driver and our guide Anastasia were nice and good professionals. We did so many things in one day with plenty of time to enjoy each stop - Tatev cable car, Tatev Monastery, Shaki waterfall, Arina Winery.

Long and intense day. - Nice mixed group. Professional guide Anastasia with double explanation in Russian and English (for us). Present throughout the trip. The breaks and visits were spread well over the entire day as it was a very long journey. Stefano and Laura.

Wonderful and informative trip - It was a long tour but the guide Sam made it fun! There were only 3 English speakers and maybe 9 Russian speakers on the tour but he never made us feel left out. He gave a good running commentary of the sights and geography of Armenia on the long drive out to Tatev. Wings of Tatev was really impressive! The Monastery was pretty and the drive back was really down some winding roads. Shaki waterfall was very pretty too with strong and rapid currents. The wine tasting let us try a wide variety of wines - classic Red, 3y Red, 7y Red, rose and 2 types of fruit wines. The kids at the winery gave us each an Easter egg and proceeded to play the whose egg is harder game after hahaa!

Interesting tour - Everything good except the Armenian music in the car which was very depressing. The monastery was amazing and the cable car felt safe.
