Highlights
  • Hyur Service - starting and ending point
  • Saghmosavank Monastery - Located 5 km from Hovhanavank monastery, on the edge of the Kasakh river canyon, Saghmosavank monastery was built by the Vachutian dukes in the 13th century. The main church is next to the scriptorium, where numerous manuscripts were created over the centuries. The monastery was heavily damaged by the 1988 earthquake, but a reconstruction completed in 2000 restored its former beauty and glory.

In the 13th century, new structures were added under the Vachutian dukes’ patronage. The main church’s portal, adorned with evangelical motifs, is particularly noteworthy.

Temples and churches in Yerevan that you cannot miss. - Extraordinary half-day tour to visit Yerevan's UNESCO heritage churches and temples. They are all very close to the capital. There is not much travel by bus.

Spiritual Capital of Armenia - Our tour guide Liana was very informative and helpful. Also our driver Spartak was excellent, taking us to the different sites in a safe and timely manner. It is a shame that during the last leg of the tour it began to rain and we were unable to fully explore the Zvartnots site. Overall, an excellent trip, I would highly recommend.

Great tour to see Yerevan and the Echmiadzin churches - The tour took about 7 hours and is an excellent introduction to Yerevan and its sights. It starts with a bus tour around the city and after a photo stop at the Mother Armenia statue, it goes on to Echmiadzin, the museum there, and the other 2 churches. The last stop is the beautiful Zvarnots temple. Our guide, Karina, was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. I can highly recommend this tour and will book some more now with HYUR services.
