• Noravank Monastery - Khndzoresk is a remarkable site, renowned for its ancient caves where inhabitants lived until the 1950s. Recognized as a historical monument, it was preserved by the Soviet Union. The gorge’s two banks, Old and New Khndzoresk, are linked by a long suspension bridge, offering views of Khndzoresk’s four churches and the Nine Children spring. Constructed in 2012 through the initiative and sponsorship of local businessman Zhora Aleksanyan, the bridge measures 160 meters in length, 63 meters in height, and weighs 14 tons. It can accommodate approximately 700 people of average weight at once.

• Tatev Monastery - Situated in the Syunik province, Tatev Monastery (9th-10th century) boasts a rich history. It served as both a spiritual and educational hub, housing one of the finest medieval universities where humanities were studied. Perched near the edge of a steep cliff, the monastery offers visitors breathtaking views of the gorge’s stunning landscape.

The journey to the monastery was once long and challenging, requiring travel along a winding mountain road. However, with the opening of the Tatever ropeway (Wings of Tatev), the trip is now much shorter and provides unforgettable experiences. Notably, the Wings of Tatev holds the record for the longest non-stop double track cable car.

• Shaki Waterfall - Located on the Shaki River, a tributary of the Vorotan, Shaki Waterfall is found north of Sisian city. Nestled in a deep gorge rich with rocks and caves, the area reveals traces of human activity from the Stone Age. Positioned in the Vorotan Gorge, 3 km northwest of Sisian, the waterfall stands 18 meters tall.

• Areni Wine Factory - Enthusiasts of fine wines and ancient architecture will adore the quaint Armenian village of Areni. Since 2009, the “Areni Wine” festival has been held here every autumn, showcasing over 100 varieties of exquisite Armenian wines. Visitors can taste and purchase both young and aged wines produced at the Areni winery.
