Constructed in the 9th century, Tatev Monastery is a distinct gem of Armenian architectural design. Historically, it served as one of the earliest religious hubs in medieval Armenia and was also known as the largest university of that era. The establishment of the «Wings of Tatev», the world’s longest cableway (5.7 km), has made the complex a popular tourist site in Armenia.
