The moment I arrived in Yichang, I felt a sense of anticipation. The city, known as the gateway to the Three Gorges, was bustling with energy. As I made my way to the Maoping Port, I was greeted by a representative who guided me to the Yangzi Explorer. As the cruise continued, we visited Fengjie and Shibaozhai, each stop offering a glimpse into China’s rich tapestry of history and tradition. The ancient architecture and local customs were a reminder of the enduring legacy of the Yangtze River.

Finally, we arrived in Chongqing, a city that stands as a testament to China’s rapid modernization. With its towering skyscrapers and vibrant streets, Chongqing is a city of contrasts. As I disembarked, I felt a sense of fulfillment. The journey from Yichang to Chongqing had been more than just a cruise; it was a cultural odyssey that deepened my appreciation for China’s diverse heritage.
