Yogyakarta Palace - Sample Itinerary: Yogyakarta-Bromo-Ijen-Bali. If starting from Bali, the itinerary will be: Bali-Ijen-Bromo-Yogyakarta.

The travel route may vary based on your arrival day and the availability of Borobudur structure tickets, as they sell out quickly.

If you secure the earliest Borobudur 8:30 am structure ticket, the trip can begin at 3:30 am with a sunrise view from Puthuk Setumbu Hill, followed by a local standard breakfast. Otherwise, the journey will start at 8 am from your hotel.

9 am: Pick up at Yogyakarta hotel by our driver.

Visit the Yogyakarta Sultan Palace, its museum, and the Water Castle-Tamansari. Continue with a walk along Malioboro, the main tourism spot in central Yogyakarta.

Travel to Prambanan Temple or Borobudur Temple, updated according to your arrival day.

Check in at our partner hotel in central Yogyakarta.

Borobudur Temple Tour or Prambanan Temple Tour

Borobudur Temple - 8 am: Pick up at your hotel lobby and travel to Borobudur to explore the temple structure up to its peak.

Optional: Start at 3:30 am from your hotel to Borobudur for a Dhagi Hill picnic breakfast, enjoying the sunrise over Borobudur from this hill, accompanied by Javanese musical instruments, gamelan, and storytelling. Extra USD 30 per person.

Continue with a Borobudur village tour. After exploring the Borobudur temple structure, take a traditional Javanese horse cart to experience the natural life of Borobudur locals and learn about their social and cultural values. Enjoy beautiful scenery and rural life, including rice planting/harvesting, rice grinding, tofu making, pottery, bamboo crafts, and other activities. Extra USD 20 per person.

Prambanan Temples - 3 pm: Car trip to Prambanan Temple from central Yogyakarta.
4 pm: Prambanan Temple sunset tour.

Return to your hotel.

Yogyakarta - Surabaya

Yogyakarta Station - 5 am: Hotel checkout. Request the hotel to deliver breakfast to your room at 5 am, or have it wrapped the evening before.

5:30 am: Travel by car to Yogyakarta train station for a train journey to Surabaya.

Gubeng Railway Station - 11 am: Pick up at Gubeng Railway Station by our driver.

Continue travel to Bromo.

Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park - Arrive in the Bromo area, check in at a local hotel/guesthouse.

Rest and relax. A brief about the next morning’s Bromo jeep sunrise tour, starting at 3 am.

Bromo Sunrise Tour

Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park - 3 am: Our guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby or knock on your door.
Proceed with a jeep for an amazing Bromo sunrise view from a hill. Afterwards, visit the savannah, Bromo sea of sand, and possibly meet the Tengger people, the Bromo natives.

Return to the hotel, have breakfast, and check out.
Travel to Bondowoso for the Ijen sunrise trek the next day. Approximately 3 hours of driving with breaks.

Optional: Continue travel to Tumpak Sewu, a wonderful waterfall, after checking out from Bromo, and stay overnight for the next early morning waterfall trek. Extra USD 100 per person.

Optional: Visit Tumpak Sewu waterfall, another wonderful waterfall in Java. This requires a one-day extension (overnight), extra USD 75 per person.

Bondowoso - Arrive in Bondowoso, check in at a hotel for the next 1 am trip to the Ijen Blue Fire trek (only when the gas level is safe. If not, depart at 3 am for the Ijen sunrise trek).

Ijen Crater Blue Fire Trek - Drop Off Bali

Ijen Crater - 1 am: Bondowoso hotel checkout for the Ijen Blue Fire trek (only when the gas level is safe. If not, depart at 3 am for the Ijen sunrise trek).

Local breakfast.
Continue travel to Ketapang Harbor.

Public ferry to Gilimanuk Harbor, Bali.

Gilimanuk - Pick up by our Bali driver at the harbor exit gate with your name sign on a piece of paper.

Drop off at your hotel in Bali (Pemuteran/Lovina/Ubud/Canggu/Kuta/Sanur/Seminyak). Tour ends.
