Amazing tour and delicious food! - This was such a great way to experience Yogyakarta and try delicious and authentic Javanese foods from places we definitely wouldn’t have found on our own! There were just four people on our tour which was a nice number and meant we could all ask questions etc. Kalika the guide was really lovely and knowledgeable about the city and Indonesia. You get to ride in a Becak motor which was really fun, and Kalika also bartered with our Becak driver for us so we could get a good price on a ride back to our hotel! We also got so much food! If you like trying different cuisines and want to get a real feel of the different foods in Yogya this tour is perfect, and a much funner way of spending an evening than just going to a restaurant!

Pretty darn amazing - The experience was amazing. Kalika was fun, kind and a good storyteller. You really have the opportunity to taste local food and even though we didn't necessarily love all the foods, we really loved the experience and the fact that we went into traditional Yogyakartan places that we normally wouldn't find. 10/10 would recommend

The ultimate must-do Yogja food tour! - This is a MUST-DO in Yogja! It’s local, it’s independent, the food is awesome, and you’re taken such good care of! You’ll try new foods and see a side of Yogja you would otherwise miss out on - this food tour goes beyond the ‘usual’ Indonesian and Javanese dishes to explore a taste palate across cultures and traditions. The guide is extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful, and was happy to adjust the plan based on dietaries (eg. Pescatarian) as needed. Huge thanks to Kalaika for such a memorable night!

Excellent tour - Great food tour. Kalika was a great tour guide. She is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and was very conscious of hygiene issues. The range of food that we tasted was great and we were certainly full by the end of the evening. Great value and highly recommended.

Brilliant introduction to Java's famous city of food and culture - This is a brilliant introduction to street life and culture across this historical city. The very visually interesting food and drink experiences are plentiful and generous with fascinating histories , and guide Anisa is great company and has in depth knowledge both of the food traditions and the history of Yogya and you cover quite a lot of the city centre too . travelling by food and becak and spending time in the Palace area. I went on a busy Saturday night and wonderful to see how lively and popular Yogya is with younger visitors at the. weekend.

One of the best local food tours! - A perfect tour! Can’t recommend this highly enough, Anisa has wonderful local knowledge and took us to countless great places to eat new and delicious local dishes. She knows all about food culture and beyond, and is organised, cool and generous. Great value too, and an excellent way to get to know the city.

A really fun evening! - I did this food tour with my friend and would highly recommend! Our tour guide Kalika was really informative and took us to a lot of different places. The tour went by so quickly and we learned a lot about the food we were trying and about yogyakarta. Kalika was great for advice about the city and she was happy to help with any questions we had.
