All necessary tools are provided, along with comprehensive instructions on brush techniques.

Create a piece featuring your favorite Japanese characters and take it home as a memorable keepsake.

This engaging activity is a 2-hour program, which includes time for questions, answers, and clean-up.

Photography and video recording are welcome. Chairs and tables are available for your comfort.

Additionally, Kawasaki is conveniently located on the route to Yokohama from Haneda or Narita Airport. If you have a layover at Haneda Airport, our school is just a 30-minute journey from the airport.

At the start of the session, the host, an expert calligrapher, will provide a brief introduction to the art of Japanese calligraphy.

Calligraphy is a traditional cultural art in Japan, and participating in this age-old practice offers a deeper appreciation of the expressive qualities of the Japanese language.

Before participants engage in authentic calligraphy, the host will outline the steps involved and introduce the tools used. Guests will have plenty of time in a serene environment to ask questions and converse with the host.

The experience concludes with each guest using a brush and ink to write Japanese words, gaining a foundational understanding of calligraphy.

The host communicates with guests in English and is a calligrapher who has been selected for prestigious exhibitions in Japan.
