When a guide is in love with his city, the tour turns into a fairy tale - We were enchanted by our wonderful guide and the city she showed us. At first it was Yokohama as a center of different cultures, and then it turned into the most traditional one. We were delighted.

Great afternoon walking and learning about Yokohama area - We had a such a lovely day with Sayumi as our guide. Her walking tour around the hillside area and gardens in Yokohama is great half day walk to discover a hidden jam of the town. She brought us to the most amazing locations such as viewpoints and historical sites. Especially I loved the tea shop where we tried recommended flavor of Japanese tea which may bring us good fortune! And magical time spending in Sankeien Garden. I was so impressed by the beauty and serenity of this traditional Japanese landscape garden. Worth visiting if you’re fond of flowers, birds or authentic Japanese style architecture. If I were visiting all sites by myself, I would not have had such a wonderful time. And last but not least, her deep affection and great passion for welcoming all guest to this tour touched me so much! Definitely would recommend to anyone I know coming here and join this tour!!

Great outing with history and nature in Yokohama! - Sayumi was a wonderful guide. Extremely knowledgeable and very organized. The landscapes and buildings of Yokohama were not only beautiful but were filled with interesting history. The stories Sayumi provided were fascinating and made me understand what an important role Yokohama played during and after the Meiji restoration. The little tea room where we had a tea break was absolutely delightful. “Sankei-en” Garden, despite being not far from the centre of Yokohama, was quiet, peaceful and full of nature (the short bus trip to the Garden was also very enjoyable). Great get away from the hustle and bustle of the everyday life. The view from the “Shofukuji” was magnificent. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip. Highly recommended!

The beauty of Yokohama hill area and a Japanese garden - We were in a small group and Sayumi was so friendly to us. She was so familiar with the places we visited as she used to walk there every day during her high school days. Yokohama hill area has an exotic atmosphere viewing Yokohama port where we can see many big ships including luxury liners such as "Asuka." Yokohama Bay Bridge is shining white on the blue color sea. We had good conversations at the tea salon about different tea leaves explained by Sayumi. In addition, I'll never forget the memory of visiting the Japanese garden, Sankei Garden. The scenic garden is so spacious, and we enjoyed walking along the beautiful pond and looking at several ancient buildings, including a thatched house and a three-story pagoda. We felt like we had gone back in time. We were so lucky to see the setting sunshine on the three-pagoda in the evening.

History and nature exploration with a most pleasant personality as your guide - Sayumi is wonderful, as she is intelligent, gentle, flexible and efficient. Her growing up in this charming city of Yokohama and her life-long international work experience make her a very special and a pleasant companion for those who'd like to have an insight into the city. She made a timely arrangement for us to experience the special "autumn moon watching" at Sankeien Park. It was simply fantastic -- a beautiful moon and an elegant Japanese traditional music. We were totally excited.

An Excellent & Unique Experience in Yokohama - Our adventure in Yokohama started from a few minute's Yokohama Air Cabin experience, the variety of the architectural style showed the openness & diversity of the city. Mitsubishi Minatomirai Industrial Museum has satisfied our son's curiosity to science & technology. Lunch at Red Brick Warehouse was a smart advise from our tourguide Horie-san, we could only feel that we needed more than three stomaches each! The afternoon tour to Sankeien Garden was absolutely the best momory for this whole trip, we appreciated Horie-san's advise so much that we had a chance to enjoy the Japanese Gardenning. To get rid of the July heat, Horie-san took us to a beautiful and peaceful place-Hotel New Grand to cool down and tasted our momories of the Sankeien Garden. Our Yokohama tour ended at Ramen Museum, everybody was so happy and satisfied with the famous and delicious Hakata noodles. We'll never forget our tour guide Horie-san who brought us such wonderful experience, you are so sweet and professional, you are the best!

an in-depth history lesson experience - Our guide's love and knowledge of Yokohama made the tour all the more memorable and fun! It was amazing to see how an unimportant village just facing the Pacific Ocean became the world’s renowned Port City in the past 165 years. Every alley had a story to be told, stories you would not have known unless you were raised in the city. Thank you for sharing your insights, Sayumi-san! Just as you had told us, the Sankei-en gardens was magnificent as well! Kyoto, Kamakura and Shirakawa-go heritage combined in one place, so close to Tokyo! Just enjoyed them and your explanation of each buildings or structures really got me interested in Japan. Thank you!
