The Journey Begins: From Seoul to Everland

As a family travel writer, I’m always on the lookout for experiences that can captivate both kids and adults alike. When I heard about Everland Resort, the world’s 7th-largest theme park, I knew it was a must-visit for my family. Our adventure began with a comfortable ride from Seoul to Yongin, which set the tone for a day filled with excitement and wonder.

The drive was smooth and scenic, offering glimpses of Korea’s beautiful landscapes. Our guide was knowledgeable and shared fascinating facts about Everland, which only heightened our anticipation. Arriving at the park around 10:10 am, we were ready to dive into a world of thrilling rides, vibrant festivals, and wildlife encounters.

A Day of Thrills and Wonders

Everland truly lives up to its reputation as a place for everyone. My kids were immediately drawn to the themed festivals, where colorful parades and interactive exhibits kept them entertained for hours. Meanwhile, my husband and I couldn’t resist the allure of the T-Express, Korea’s fastest, highest, longest, and steepest wooden roller coaster. The adrenaline rush was incredible, and it was a joy to share that experience with my thrill-seeking family.

For a change of pace, we explored the zoo, home to 2,000 animals from around 200 species. It was a delight to see my children’s eyes light up as they encountered animals they’d only read about in books. The zoo’s layout was family-friendly, making it easy to navigate even with little ones in tow.

A Magical Evening

As the sun began to set, Everland transformed into a magical wonderland. The evening fireworks and eye-catching parades were the perfect grand finale to our day. We chose to leave on the 8:15 pm ride back to Seoul, which allowed us to soak in every last moment of the park’s enchanting atmosphere.

Reflecting on our visit, I can confidently say that Everland is a destination that delivers on its promise of fun for all ages. It’s a place where families can create lasting memories, and I can’t wait to return with my family for another adventure.
