An opportunity to explore the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park and witness the scenery that inspired James Herriot. You’ll visit sites featured in the current series of All Creatures Great and Small, including the Village of Grassington, which stands in for Darrowby in the show. Wander through charming villages and traverse scenic passes, soaking in the breathtaking views. You’ll also visit Bolton Castle, where Herriot proposed to his wife and which was a beloved spot of the author.

A delightful day in the Yorkshire Dales - Excellent time viewing the Yorkshire Dales and the scenes from All Creatures Great and Small. It was all as advertised: Departed a few minutes after 9 and returned by 6 p.m. The weather cooperated as after a rainy start the clouds cleared and we had sun to reflect off the vibrant green hills. Our guide (John S) kept us supplied with an engaging and often humorous commentary I'll sure look for Mountain Goat Tours again when I return to the area!

Visiting Grassington and the Dales - Our tour guide, John S, provided insightful commentary throughout the tour. The route was very interesting and I was glad that our excellent driver was in charge on such narrow roads. The small group was friendly and made good companions in the way.

Must see : Yorkshire Dales - We enjoyed our tour very much . John was a wealth of information and guided us and kept us entertained through the day. John has a great sense of humour which made the day even lovelier .
The tour covered all the highlights of the Yorkshire dales and then some ! Would highly recommend this excursion!

Great day Touring the Yorkshire Dales - John S. was a superb guide during our day tour of the Yorkshire Dales. Landscape was beautiful. Many fascinating stops including a few relating to the All Creatures Great and Small Tv series. John was engaging, knowledgeable and a terrific host. Would highly recommend him and this tour

Awesome day - The tour was everything we hoped for. We had a wonderful day and saw so many beautiful views, quaint towns, and castles. Our guide, John, was kind, informative, and fun. We weren’t very familiar with the All Creatures Great and Small, but that didn’t impact our enjoyment of the tour. A lot of other people on the tour seemed very excited about the filming locations we saw.

The tour of the Dales - The scenery was wonderful. Our guide Trevor was very knowledgeable. There was a lot of driving involved but it is a big area to cover. Would have liked maybe a little more time in places where we stopped but that would mean getting back to York even later. We got to see where the show, Heartbeat was filmed and some of the sites of All Creatures, Great and Small.

Great to include Saltaire. Could've... - <p>Great to include Saltaire. Could've skipped Skipton. Driver chatting up his companion on front seat quite a bit if the time. So those on the back seat us excluded.</p>
