After you’ve made your tour reservation, you’ll rendezvous at the Guy Fawkes Inn, situated across from the church of Michael Le Belfrey. This will be your introductory spot to learn about the notorious plot hatched by Guy Fawkes and his fellow conspirators, right where the man himself was born!
Next, we’ll move on to the grounds of York Minster, where you’ll delve into the cathedral’s long and intricate past. Our journey will also take us to other iconic York locations such as The Shambles and Museum Gardens, amongst others!
When you’re scheduling your tour, do keep in mind that each of our tours are unique! Based on your available time and interests, I aim to lend a personal touch to every experience.
The sights mentioned are merely a fraction of the numerous locales awaiting you in York, so should you wish to undertake another tour, rest assured that it will provide a whole new perspective!

Delightful, adaptable tour guide! - An excellent tour guide with a wealth of knowledge and clear willingness to adapt the tour to the likings of the group. He had stories about everything and was able to answer every question with honesty and integrity. He was a delight.

Perfect walking tour - Dave knows every bit of English history by heart, including dates. The tour was so informative and interesting. Dave is very adaptable and obliging. Every little detail and every available sight is presented very professionally. Perfect tour, very thorough and customsied to suit, highly recommended.

Educational and fun tour of York - Dave is a very knowledgeable and humorous guide who made our walking tour of York. We came away with a plethora of information and local anecdotes etc that made the experience even more enjoyable than we had hoped.

An extraordinary tour with an extraordinary knowledgeable guide - David is a fantastic tour guide, he has his own theory how to give a tour to people in their own taste. While he has a route planned out, he can alternate it base on the visitors interests. With us we started walking around York Minster and came to Roman tower, where birds of prey being showcased and Dave asked if anyone was interested which one of the lady's definitely excited about. Not only that, after the tour was finish, Dave said he could take us to wall walk which is very nice since not many tour guides want to stick around with the groups they give a tour to or accompany them afterwards. In conclusion, Dave is a very nice person, very knowledgeable of York history and sites, and is somebody you should book with if you want to get in dept details of specific sites, the history, or just overall a wonderful experience.

The best guide of my York stay - Dave Haw is an amazing guide who adapted his tour to everything we were interested in. He stopped where we noticed something peculiar here and there and told us very interesting facts. This tour felt like a nice hangout with a group of friends, we learnt a lot in a great atmosphere. 100% recommended

David is a walking encyclopedia of all things York - David has encyclopedic knowledge of all things York. He was friendly and engaging and presented the information clearly. We could hear him even in busy and crowded areas. He made sure to stop for bathroom breaks and frequently checked in to make sure everyone was doing okay and was enjoying the tour. He welcomed questions and provided in-depth answers. Great tour!

Brilliant tour, Brilliant guide. - Dave was friendly and approachable from the minute we met him! He was interested to know where we came from and had a lovely manner with our young daughter. Dave is incredibly knowledgeable of the city and remembers key information, intertwined with funny anecdotes. It was such an enjoyable walking tour and I would highly recommend Dave to show you anywhere you'd like to go! Thank you, Dave.
