“They say there is a bar for each day of the year in York. They come in all shapes and sizes and there is even a walking tour, which traces their history, some dating back to the 16th century. Keith Martin will share his passion for York’s oldest pubs in return for a donation to Keep Your Pet a charity which helps people keep their animals at difficult times”

Great! Highly Recommended - No better way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon. Learnt lots about my city and the history behind each pub. Keith was amazing! So knowledgeable, enthusiastic and fun. Obviously had spent time preparing and researching as he was able to answer our questions and even had old photographs of the city & pubs to share with us. I have recommended this tour to all my family and friends.

Lovely little tour - A great walk around of York looking at the oldest pubs. We managed to stop in one pub for a drink and chat, before learning more about not just the history of the pubs but some of York too. All proceeds go to a great charity. Thank you for a lovely tour.

Thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish! - Thoroughly enjoyed our historical pub walking tour with Keith. We have visited York several times but this is the first time we have been on a walking tour. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in the local history of the many pubs in the city. Keith was very knowledgeable and friendly, and the fact that the proceeds were going to charity made it even better.

Thoroughly recommended pub walk - An excellent evening learning historical facts about York itself and its pubs. Keith imparts his knowledge in an interesting and light-hearted way, and for me the two-hour duration of the walk just flew by. I would recommend this activity to anyone visiting the city.
