Gin Tour - brilliant! - What an amazing time we had here! Mark was an excellent host showing us the Distillery and telling the stories behind each flavour of gin, rum & vodka. Plenty of samples to try with lots of laughter. You must try this, the Hooting Owl pub is lovely and cosy and the gin tour is brilliant! You'll leave happy that's for sure!

Great afternoon, for gin drinkers or if you fancy trying gin, as first time. - This was a really chilled afternoon, with a great host Mark. He was very informative, about the place & practice. He also was good at telling the stories & made it much more fun. We got to sample the different gins, & a couple of extra's we had mentioned. For any gin drinker, this is a must. If your not, like us. This is a great way to sample gins, and feel like you had one to many, before your tea. The bar & staff were friendly & helpful. We even went in the next day, and remembered our drinks. If you like rum, then the Tipsy toad dark rum, will be my new go to.

A Hoot of a Time - This was one of, if not, the best distillery tours we've ever done. Mark was a phenomenal host and the gins available to taste are second to none. Wonderful venue, fantastic story behind the Owl, and an all round good time. We'll definitely be back!

Out of this world - Hands down one of our favourite places that we have ever been to. The quality of the drinks, the ambience and the service from the staff were second to none. I got to sample the newly distilled brandy and was the first person to buy a bottle .. The gaffer was personable and friendly and everyone went out of their way to make us welcome..... We will definitely return next time we visit York.... Thank You ♥️

Hooting Owl Distillery Tour - Had been in past the day before for a drink and decided to book a tour for the next night. Tour very well explained, and a few puns thrown in for good measure. Hearing the history helps you enjoy this much more. Tastings were really good, and choice of another gin drink at end. Very good value for money, and you can pay for pizza too whilst having the tastings. Will be back for a visit next time we return.

Wonderful - Fantastic tour, Tom was so engaging, knowledgeable, funny and made the experience wonderful. It was a wonderful tour, the tasting was brilliant and would definitely go again. The venue is charismatic and the atmosphere great. Thank you

Fun and interesting afternoon tour and tasting - It was us and one other couple. Mark helmed our tour and was a terrific host throughout the afternoon. He did a great (and entertaining) job of explanation their process and what makes them special. Then we all sat down and he walked us through a tasting of the 4 London dry gins and 2 of the flavored gins plus the rum (which was a real surprise). The tour includes two full gin and tonics as well. What a Hoot of a day. If not interested in the tour, the lounge/bar is a lovely warm welcoming place for a drink.

Tom The Fantastic Tour Guide 😊 - Had a wonderful afternoon at the Hooting Owl, came for a tour of the distillery & we had Tom showing us around & letting know everything about gin, vodka & other tipples too! This young man was so enthusiastic & is a brilliant host & had us all laughing at the same time as well as keeping us all entertained with his knowledge of how these gorgeous drinks are made!!!! Thank you so much Tom, you’re a ⭐️

Best Distillery Tour. - What a great distillery tour. Not just the gin distillery process but so many great stories behind the gins, the business and all from the owner. The bar is excellent and such a good vibe. Thanks and we’ll be back.

Highly recommend you won't be disappointed - This is a 5 star tour On arrival we greeted with welcome drinks what a unique place this is we really enjoyed our trip here highly recommend the guy that does the tour knows his stuff and made us feel so welcome. This is a must if you're visiting York At the end we were given our very own personalized gin glass to keep.
