Embark on a journey into the North York Moors National Park, delving into its mesmerising scenery and rich history.
Our tour kicks off with a visit to Pickering, an ancient market town that rests on the fringes of the North York Moors National Park. From Pickering, we navigate into the heart of the National Park, known for its breathtaking expanses of heather moorland that, on a sunny day, can stretch up to 50 miles in all directions. Our next destination is Goathland, popular for being a filming location in the Heartbeat TV show. There will be a quick pit stop for you to see Goathland Station, also known as Hogsmeade in the globally acclaimed Harry Potter film series.
Shortly after, we’ll touch down in Whitby for a lunch break. This quintessential seaside town offers a myriad of dining options, with fish and chips being a local speciality. Post-lunch, we delve deeper into the heart of the moors, meandering through roads that cut across the awe-inspiring stretches of heather moorland.
We then head back towards York, soaking up the picturesque views of the Vale of York en route.
