Are you ready to travel back in time to delve into York’s tumultuous and sorrowful past? A history which is visible through the inexplicable apparitions lurking in our city’s streets and buildings.
Allow us to guide you through York’s alleyways and lanes as we narrate tales of the city’s phantoms.
Please note: The tour holds a PG rating and is not suggested for children under 8.
The stories often undergo changes but do include comprehensive historical facts, some which may be grim, sorrowful, or gruesome.
These stories may consist of public hangings, pestilence, self-destruction or other bleak events.

Very interesting walk! - The Guide worked without stopping through a very bad rain shower, most impressed with the walk. As an member of the Ghost Club, been on a few.

Delivery and Costume lead to fantastic experience - When telling Ghost stories the most important aspect is the delivery. Bonus when they dress the part. This was both. He switch seamlessly from funny to serious keeping us engaged. I would recommend this to anyone coming to York.

Ghost stories brought to life. - A very entertaining walk. The stories were brought to life by Dan who is clearly a born entertainer. We did it at 630 so still daylight and therefore not ‘spooky’ but nonetheless highly engaging.

What a wonderful evening! - Dan really made the tour, his wonderful commentary was fantastic and really brought the experience to life - entertaining and informative without patronizing us. A perfect group size to ensure we all heard and saw at each location. Dan even managed to time the tour to find shelter during a hail storm. Well done that man!!

Fun experience in York - Loved this ghost walk. Ben was an excellent guide. He was funny and really informative. Despite it being freezing cold the walk was still a very enjoyable experience. Definitely recommend - thank you!

Well worth joining this walk. - A fun walk around older parts of York. The guide was very good and kept us all entertained with historical stories, and a few ghostly tales.

Amazing - Dan was amazing, I'm not into history I tagged along as my family really wanted to do the tour, however I thoroughly enjoyed it. I learnt so much and laughed a lot. Would highly recommend.
