Very Pleasant - My niece and me enjoyed the cruise very much - the views, the information given by the captain, the weather, the atmosphere aboard. It is better to buy tickets beforehand.

York city cruises with our captain Chloe - York city cruises Evening tour with Chloe as captain Booking was online and easy. Via ‘get your guide’. Would suggest you book in advance as the queue waiting to buy was long. The boat is large and not wheelchair accessible (from what we saw, there may be other ways to get on). The bar was quite stocked and had a plethora of non alcoholic drinks too. The trip was excellent and so much information given by Chloe who spoke in a clear voice. The boat went upstream, turned back down stream, turned back upstream and the boat was flat al level with precision steerage from our captain. The trees did get in the way a bit however it did not deter us from a magical experience of being a passenger onboard. Recommend to others; at every opportunity. Return again; maybe in a few years.

Very nice evening outing - Very nice evening outing and interesting to get a view of York from the water. Just the right length. Chloe, the guide, was knowledgeable and entertaining. Do pay attention to the departure point because for us it was at King’s Staith, not at Kendall Bridge where the boats dock and the advertisements are going.

Excellent way to see a different side of York. - Lovely cruise with great commentary by Rathi. His voice was "to die for" according to my lovely wife. Clear, funny and informative. Boat was fine. Highly recommended.

Good with issues - We really enjoyed our cruise along the Ouse. It was interesting, insightful and fun with people on the river banks waving to us. We where on the Saturday night early evening cruise on the Dutchess. Although we had a good trip I have to point out that our captain looked very scruffy and her uniform was filthy compared to the rest of the crew. It really isn't a very good standard to set and I would recommend a new uniform of a better washing detergent

Evening Cruise - We actually went on the evening cruise, it is really just a ride up and down the river. There was no commentary whatsoever and the doors were open the whole time so it was freezing and the music needs to be a little more upbeat it was a bit depressing. You get a glass of prosecco on boarding.

Average cruise, wouldn’t recommend - Overall an average cruise, I’m not sure there’s enough along the River Ouse to do a full tour and commentary. There were some lovely views at times and there is something very calming about being on the river in the evening; enjoying the fresh air. The person commentating seems to be struggling. I’m not sure if they were reading from a script which they were struggling to read as they also drove the boat or they had memorised a script which they were struggling to remember, but it was not presented fluidly with awkward pauses which seemed like the end of a sentence and then they would start speaking again. It made it really difficult to follow and actually ended up taking away from the cruise rather than adding to it. I believe the company offer an option without commentary which I think would be better for the Ouse so you get the relaxation of a boat without a commentary which doesn’t really add anything. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend. Not worth the money spent.

Underwhelmed ! - Nothing unfortunately very dissapointed. More references to the York buildings which were along the riverside. Less attempts at humour more facts would have improved our experience.
