Buy this for someone you love! - This was a fabulous retirement gift from some friends. I know York reasonably well, yet Marion took me to some new places and some great food stops. It was lovely to share the experience with locals, visitors from the UK and international travellers, we talked for 3 hours as we walked and ate. The food highlights for me were the galette and Roberto's wonderful gelato menu.

A treat well worth sampling - Marion our tour foodie guide was personable knowledgable and well organised. We were in a group of eight and had the most enjoyable 3 hours sampling the delights from five diverse venues on a historical and picturesque walking tour round the centre of York.

Meeting Point = 53.961851, -1.081753 or ///cried.amber.oasis - Had difficulty finding the meeting point using Google Maps, so to help future travelers I have provided GPS co-ordinates and What3Words refence. Now that is out of the way lets talk about the Tour. Marian is a wealth of information and the day just flew by. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and sampling the many different foods, we would have never found just walking around York by ourselves. Recommend 100%

Best tea tour ever!! - We booked a private tea tour with Marion (Tours in a Dish) and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip. We started out at The Grand Hotel in York for a traditional afternoon tea. The tea, the food and the atmosphere were fabulous! We then went to a chocolate factory for scrumptious hot chocolate and chocolate desserts. We fished at Bedern Hall with delicious scones, clotted cream, jam and more tea. Along the way, Marion shared some history of the area and the establishments we visited. All very interesting. I would highly recommend this tour. Thanks so much Marion!

Great tour, delicious food, very knowledgable guide. - What a fabulous way to spend a day! Marion’s Hidden Gems food tour of York was fun, informative & delicious - we discovered lots of new tasty food in places we would previously have just walked by. Will definitely be revisiting them during our own trips to York.

Good food - We enjoyed our food tour. Had some good samples. Enough for a hearty lunch. Marion was a fantastic guide. She engaged with everyone and knew a lot of history.

A mixed bag. - A mixed bag of great and just average. As a foodie I loved the local bakery options and the savoury galette with mushrooms and truffle, the Colombian plantain rice with coffee was also interesting but not very special. The Sparks margarita and pepperoni pizza were authentically boring. It’s just pizza and I can get that anywhere. The sticky toffee pudding was also very ordinary although the venue was a great quirky pub. I think the word foodie does not fit the pizza or the pudding. Marion was lovely with some great York insights.
