York: Women Witches Warriors Ghost Walk Part One (15+)

Be introduced to and inspired by the women of York who walked before you, as you follow this one-woman performance in their footsteps. This is fiction based on fact. A ghost story with a difference, for these spirits haven’t come back from beyond the grave to haunt you but to help you.

Duration: 1 hour, 30 minutes

Witches, women and warriors tour - Such a fab tour around York, thank you. It was great to hear stories none of the other tours were telling, and told in a style like someone was telling you a poetic bedtime story. Loved it!

Unique journey through her-story! - Though I grew up in Yorkshire, I learned so, so much through this engaging journey through her-story. Can't recommend highly enough to anyone who's curious about the untold stories of those who hold up half the sky. Thank you for a wonderful adventure through the streets and centuries of York. ❤️

Walking with the women of York - My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed Sasha's walking tour because she was very engaging and certainly brought the stories of these women to life. She had a marvellous script to memory which was very impressive. Would definitely recommend.

Engaging, theatrical, and informative! - Fabulous tour! Telling the story of York through the perspective of influential women, some of whose stories are unfairly neglected by history. Sasha does an amazing job of bringing them to life and offering a view of the city that you won't find on other tours.

Wonderful women of York - Sasha has done her homework and really knows her stuff. She gave an excellent tour with fascinating stories delivered as if she was a the character talking in the first person. I have done all sorts of walking tours all over the country and can say without qualification that this was one of the very best. You won't be disappointed if you go on this tour.

Thank you for making our evening! - Wonderful, captivating, memorable and all-round remarkable tour through the labyrinths of time and the winding picturesque alleys of York alike. The scenery is stunning, the storytelling is incredibly immersive and the portraits of ten different Yorkshire women or local legends are masterfully depicted through the spoken word. We spent a lovely hour-and-a-half with our knowledgeable tour guide, who somehow manages to memorise a veritable encyclopaedia of information and to convey it with incredible fluidity! Not only that, Sasha's poetic and humorous narration makes this wealth of knowledge accessible to all listeners and will really draw you into a world long before our time. From prehistory all the way back to modern-day York, you'll be sure to enjoy every step of the journey and emerge on the other side with a new appreciation for this gorgeous town and its feisty, fighty, strong-willed female inhabitants. All the love from Germany!
