If you want to do a walking tour, do this one - A great morning spent with Alfred, thank you. He was very engaging and delivered lots of information in a relatively short space of time. He took the time to get to know his audience and cleverly made the whole experience interactive. If you are thinking of doing a walking tour, do this one.

highly recommend - We loved our tour with Sarah! She was so knowledgeable and well spoken and we learned so much about the area in a short period of time. Our kids (16 and 20) loved it as well. I highly recommend visiting York and doing this tour on the first day!

Delightful Tour of York! - Our tour guide was so much fun! He was knowledgeable about history, archaeology, and a true expert in the area. Our family of three were the only ones in the group and yet he still gave us such a detailed and informative tour.

Not sure our guide read her audience very well - I think our guide was Sarah, German speaker from Istanbul. Very amusing, and very knowledgeable, however we were less than happy to be told very confidently that Scotland (where we live) will very soon be independent! Sarah needs to learn to read her audience! She said she'd be applying for a Scottish passport as soon as Scotland was independent. Any one of us would very gladly let her have ours should that ever come to pass.
