Please note that we will not supply disposable masks, but guests are encouraged to bring their own. Our tours begin from Exhibition Square at 10:00 a.m.

  • The ticket is valid for 24 or 48 hours from when you first board the bus (depending on the option selected). Unlimited usage within this time.
  • Customers can board the tour from any of the 20 stops along the route.
  • A circuit takes approx. 1 hour.

Day trip - So again I boarded the blue bus round York, with my gorgeous hubby Keith as driver and guide, I could see a difference from the first time I did this trip (when he started just over a year ago) with his never ending knowledge and funny little quips, there’s no wonder he comes home with a sore throat 😂 well done sweetheart you SMASHED it, totally recommend this attraction as you learn things from York long long ago, not just the way to primarni, and the fact you can hop on hop off to get to and see different sides to this beautiful city, no doubt I’ll be doing it again 😀

Cool way to spend a B.H. afternoon in York - Fantastic trip around York. The guide and driver was full of interesting information and banter for the whole trip (in fact he never stopped for breath). Truly a chap who loves his job and proud to be a Yorkshireman. Would very highly recommend this tour (hop on hop off) as a way to get around York whilst at the same time getting an overview of the different areas and history. O yes almost forgot to say a massive thank you to our driver and fountain of knowledge …….Keith. (Love you) xx

York tour bus - We were in York for the day and decided to go the tour bus. It was raining slightly but we were undercover upstairs on the bus. Our driver and guide was Rich B. He was very professional and interesting he gave us lots of information that we would not otherwise have known Thank you Rich B. We had a very enjoyable tour with you. Would thoroughly recommend this your and driver/guide

An excellent way to learn about the history of York on a bus - On the last visit to York, my 2 grandchildren said they would like to go on the hop on / off bus. So on our next visit we were able to oblige. It was refreshing to have a real person giving us commentary as we moved through the city. Bob was very engaging and added some humour as he talked. The driver (Keith) added some comments as we moved around the city. The circuit lasts around one hour and despite being fairly regular visits to the city over many years we learnt a lot of new things. For those who are not regular visitors, the opportunity to hop off and explore, then hop back on two consecutive days is really useful. Thanks again to Bob for sharing some of his Yorkshire humour with us. p.s. the grandkids really enjoyed it and were able to tell their mum and dad some of the things they had learned.

Enjoyable tour - The weather was great in York so my friend & I decided to travel on the open top bus driven by Rich B for Golden Tours & what a great experience this was . Rich was entertaining, very informative, he made the tour really interesting & seemed to really enjoy his job . We learnt quite a lot about York that we weren’t aware of - the history & also the background of all the beautiful buildings. Thank you Rich , we thoroughly enjoyed the tour
