• Just Jade Studio - Immerse yourself in the Just Jade Experience where your creativity comes to life as you sketch out your unique design on paper. Engage directly in the design process to create something truly personal. After your design is finalized, Gordon will undertake the intricate task of carving your vision into the selected stone. The duration of this carving can range from a brief 20 minutes to an extensive 1 - 2 hours, varying with the design’s intricacy. Following Gordon’s expert carving, you’ll learn how to refine your initial design, a process that may extend from 3 to 6 hours or more, based on the design’s complexity. The carving is initially smoothed with a silicon carbide stone to erase any tool marks. Subsequently, you’ll be instructed in a step-by-step polishing method using a progression of sandpapers with grits of 150, 240, 360, 600, 1200, and 2000. After diligent polishing, your piece will undergo a final buffing with Magic Powder, an abrasive that ensures your jade gleams. To conclude, Gordon will conduct a special ceremony to transfer ownership, and you will leave with a jade masterpiece infused with your own essence, emotions, and effort.

Expect to spend a minimum of 6 to 9 hours to finalize the workshop, depending on the intricacy of your design.

• The Fee paid is for a Greenstone Experience . Should the client wish to design their own complex designs then there are extra charges as per complexity of design.
• Minimum age is 9 years - children / youths must have an adult present.
• Please allow 6 hours or more to complete this workshop.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult
• A maximum of 3 people per booking
• If a family is travelling with young children we have a Japanese style play area available.
