Great experience! - Such a great tour, so happy I included in my trip to Belguim! Rodger was a wonderful tour guide and was very helpful/kind as I dealt with a late arrival due to missing my train (I was traveling from Brussels). I’m happy that the tour stopped at the Passchendale musuem, it was a very informative musuem and you can buy Rodgers book in the shop! The lunch that was included was great, was not expecting such great quality. The only thing I wish I would have planned differently is to spend more time in Ypres. I would recommend visiting for more than 1 day so you can join this tour and have time to explore the rest of the town - specifically the Flanders musuem. I’ll also mention I was a solo traveler and had a great day/would highly recommend this tour and visit Ypres!

Must do tour with an amazing expert guide - Amazing and unforgettable experience with Roger! He was extremely knowledgeable and an absolute expert, he had so much to talk about at every site. Every question that crossed our mind Roger was more than happy to give a detailed and easy to understand answer. Lunch was the best we had in Ypres, and getting to sit down and eat it together with Roger was definitely one of the highlights of the tour. Roger was more than happy to tailor the tour to what we wanted and on top of picking us up and dropping us off at our hotel, was even kind enough to then drop us off at the train station!

Worth every penny and more! - Worth every penny for Roger’s knowledge of World War One and the area. We watched a repatriation at Tyne Cott Cemetery, a really moving experience, only possible because of Roger’s connections with The War Graves Commision. Would highly recommend booking a tour.

Excellent Tour - Roger was fantastic. The entire day was very engaging thanks to his ability as a storyteller to weave each of the sites together and we drove to them, and also provide interesting facts beyond the main story of the Ypres salient. Would highly recommend this for anyone visiting Ypres and looking for a battlefield tour.

Great tour and tour guide - Roger is a great tour guide and very knowledgable. We had a tour with a few older British men but Roger took extra time out to take us through the Irish Peace Park. No question was too much, he explained very thing in such great detail and lunch was thrown in too! If going to Ypres then go to Roger

An Insightful Tour - I thoroughly enjoyed my full day tour with Roger. He is not only personable, but also has a comprehensive knowledge of WW1, the battlefields, and the people and history of the region. All of this added up to an enjoyable and memorable day. I noticed throughout the day that he was able to moderate his commentary and answers to the level of knowledge and understanding of his participants. I can recommend Roger to anyone wanting a Ypres WW1 tour.
