Fantastic tour! - The dog sledding was incredibly fun!! Jenifer was a terrific guide who made time to stop at the scenic points along the way. Everyone I dealt with at Klondike Tours was kind and helpful. All-around excellent experience!

Great company to book with! - We had the unfortunate luck of arriving in Skagway the morning of a big mudslide. We heard that many companies were canceling their tours as a result, but we still met up with Castle and Jenifer to confirm the status of our trip. They were so easy to work with—they let us know immediately that we would not be able to see the sled dogs (so we can’t review that portion of the tour!), and that we could either opt for a full refund or select another tour and get a partial refund (for the difference between the two tours). We decided to do the suspension bridge tour instead, and Jenifer was a great guide. The drive was absolutely stunning—views we couldn’t believe. Also, the suspension bridge was an exceptional backup plan! Our family (ages 4-70+) all had a great time. I really appreciated that Castle and Jenifer worked with us to alter plans as there is no predicting nature! It sounds like the mudslide was one of the biggest in nearly a decade, so I would say our experience was atypical!

Best day! - This excursion was way more than we expected. Our tour guide Kris was very knowledgeable and friendly. He stopped at several scenic views and took pictures of our family. The bus was clean and temperature controlled. The dog sled camp was the highlight of my Alaskan trip. The scenery was beautiful and it was incredible to learn about Iditarod and what sled dogs are capable of.

Set up a semi-private or Private tour of Skagway - Jenifer our driver was right outside the pier entrance waiting for us. We were guided to her by a super friendly agent from the company. We had 13 of us and there were no other guests booked so it became a totally private tour with a comfortable high ceiling tour van. The tour was scenic and Jenifer was amazing at giving us info on Skagway and the History of the Klondike gold rush. Jenifer was fantastic, personable and humorous. The ride was made even more enjoyable by having such a great tour guide/driver. She took us around the town and pointed out different locations to see if some of us chose to return to town with her and some returned to the ship. I am sure all their drivers are fantastic and the owner of the company worked with my travel professional wife on arranging everything. If you have a chance and set up a private or semi-private tour ask for Jenifer. She is one of the best we have had on tours and we have over 20 cruises and numerous land tours around the world with many wonderful tour guides. The dogs were great with kids and we could buy some treats to feed them. We panned for gold in the same location. I have some of Parker’s gold now. Jenifer is Amazing!

A great family experience! - A phenomenal day trip! Our friendly guide joked with all the kids, spent some individual time with us to help us get our gold panning technique down, and even took our family photo! The dog sled experience was a dream for my five year old, but be careful if you buy the treats to feed the dogs at the entrance- they are all friendly, they just get really excited for that treat! We were lucky to see a female moose, black bear, and a cinnamon bear (a brown black-bear) on the road to and from! I definitely recommend this trip!

Klondike Sled Dog Excursion - Great overall excursion. Chris was a great driver and tour guide. Julia was our unimog driver and was great. Michelle Phillips gave a great talk on being a musher and talking about her experiences, and taking a pic with us. The Alaskan Huskies of course were our favorite part. They were so social and ready to work. Each with their own personalities. Julia and her coworkers were terrific in explaining each dog while getting them ready to pull. The mile or so ride with the dogs was great. Julia drove us and explained each dog, gave commands, and took some pics for us. They barked loud and proud until it was time to work, then they went completely silent (hilarious) and worked hard! When done, they couldn’t be happier to be loved and praised. The panning was more a quick instructional on how to do it (at a trough to the side of the dog staging area). Plenty of non-working dogs in the common area who were happy to sleep, play, and visit with everyone. All adorable. Overall great operation and time, we were never rushed - would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks Michelle, Julia, and staff! 🙏🏼🐶

Recommended! - This was a wonderful adventure! The drive was beautiful and our driver, Castle, made several stops for us to take photos. Her chatter made the time go by a bit more quickly as well. It is a long drive but worth it! The dog sled ride was a lot of fun and we were able to stay busy while there as we got to play with some of the dogs and do the gold panning. Recommended overall!
