Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre - Begin an eight-day journey at 2 pm by meeting the Storyteller Guide in front of the Desert Gardens Hotel. After introductions, explore the Cultural Centre in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, where the stunning natural beauty and rich culture await. Uluru and Kata Tjuta are spiritually significant, with many creation stories converging here. While some stories remain private, visitors will gain insights into the Anangu culture and appreciate the land’s beauty through exhibits and presentations by Anangu and park rangers.
Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park - After setting up camp, head to a viewing platform to witness the famous changing colors of Uluru at sunset, a perfect moment to reflect on the vast desert.
Ayers Rock Campground - Enjoy a campfire dinner with fellow travelers and sleep under a sky full of stars in an Aussie swag. The day’s drive covers about 60km.
Uluru
Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park - Rise early to experience the serenity of sunrise over Uluru. As the first light touches the landscape, the rock formations change color, creating a magical spectacle. Get up close to Uluru, standing 348 meters high and around 550 million years old, and feel its undeniable presence. A guided 10km base walk offers the best opportunity to connect with the rock and its stories, strolling beside tranquil waterholes and resting under a magnificent Sheoak tree.
Ayers Rock Resort - After lunch, enjoy free time at Ayers Rock Resort. Relax by the pool or join cultural activities like a didgeridoo performance or a guided garden walk.
Ayers Rock Campground - In the afternoon, return to Uluru for an exclusive 90-minute Mala Walk guided by Anangu Traditional Owners. Gain insight into Uluru’s spiritual and cultural significance, discover ancient rock art, ceremonial sites, and sacred stories. Engage in meaningful conversations and leave with a deep appreciation for Anangu culture and their connection to Country.
Yulara to Kings Canyon / Watarrka
Kata Tjuta - The Olgas - Depart Yulara and head towards Watarrka National Park and Kings Canyon. First, experience Kata Tjuta, rising 546 meters above the ground, a sacred site with ridges and ravines connected to Indigenous creation stories. Embark on the Valley of the Winds guided walk, a sanctuary for plants and animals, including wallabies and wildflowers, wandering along the narrow creek valley between two of Kata Tjuta’s largest domes.
Kings Creek Station - Arrive at Kings Creek Station camp in the afternoon and enjoy leisure time before dinner. The day’s journey covers about 325kms.
Kings Canyon to Coober Pedy
Kings Canyon - Start early for the breathtaking Kings Canyon Rim Walk, a magical experience with 300-meter-high sandstone walls, hidden waterholes, fern forests, chasms, canyons, and caverns. Watarrka National Park is central Australia’s oasis. Enjoy 360-degree views and explore Priscilla’s Crack, the Lost City, and the Garden of Eden.

Coober Pedy - Rest during a long drive across the Northern Territory and South Australian border, with stops along the way before reaching Coober Pedy, ‘The Opal Capital of the World’. Due to high temperatures, most of the town is underground, with residents living in cave-like houses. Stay in a unique underground bunkhouse and explore or dine at local eateries. The day’s drive covers approximately 760km.

William Creek to Flinders Ranges via the Oodnadatta Track
Skytrek Willow Springs Station - After a delicious dinner prepared by the Guide, enjoy a spectacular light show. The Flinders Ranges is known for clear skies, perfect for an optional stargazing experience with an expert astronomer. Using a 10-inch reflecting telescope, view constellations, clusters, nebulae, and planets like Saturn and Jupiter. Experiences range from $90 to $190pp and can be arranged with the Guide. Sleep under a starry sky, marveling at the Milky Way. The day’s drive is approximately 500km.
Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park
Wilpena Pound - Explore ancient gorges and enjoy the beauty at every turn. Hike through river red gums and pines, past waterholes and a historic homestead, with breathtaking views over the wilderness. After a picnic lunch, take a scenic drive at Brachina Gorge.
Skytrek Willow Springs Station - Return to camp to relax and enjoy the final dinner together. The day’s drive is approximately 160km.
Flinders Ranges to Adelaide
Arkaroo Rock - After breakfast, set out on the Arkaroo Rock Trail with views over the Chace Range. Arkaroo Rock is a significant cultural site for the Adnyamathanha people, featuring rock art depicting the Yura Muda (Dreaming or creation story) of Ikara.
Alligator Gorge - Enjoy a picnic lunch before visiting Alligator Gorge in the Southern Flinders Ranges, located in Mount Remarkable National Park, a perfect tour finale.
Adelaide - The final road trip passes through the picturesque Clare Valley wine region, arriving in Adelaide around 6 pm. The day’s journey covers approximately 450km.
