Fabulous Afternoon - An amazing afternoon flying the full Peninsula and then landing at Klein Constantia for wine tastings and lunch. Landed on the lawn there and was taken to the tasting rooms in the wineries open jeep. Very cool. Then the fun started tasting amazing wines, a nice tour and then a great lunch. The flight of the Peninsula was awesome, very clear and calm with an amazing outlook of the beach’s and mountains. After the winery stop we took off and landed at the International Airport which made our SA departure very easy and memorable. The helicopter and our pilot Ryan were fantastic. Ryan was very knowledgeable and funny. It was a great experience. Thanks Ryan and the whole team.

Cape Town Must Do Tour - An incredible experience in a beautiful and very well maintained helicopter. You can see everything, all around the peninsula which is a must do in Cape Town. The pilot (Megan) was amazing explaining everything. Even the facility is amazing.

Spectacular tour of Cape Town & Cape of Good Hope from above - It’s the most expensive helicopter tour they have but totally worth it. Lasts almost an hour and you get to see all of Cape Town, the peninsula and Cape of Good Hope from above. Also be sure to ask for the 1 hour catamaran tour of Cape Town by sea which is included in the price of the helicopter tour.

The flight was just mind blowing and the pilot did a great job commenting all the important places along the way! More than a job well done!

awesome - From the wonderful staff to the new equipment this place did an exceptional job. I would recommend them to friends and family. We were one of the last flights of the day and the pilot was super excited to explain the area as it was his first flight of the day . Can't say enough !!

Extraordinary! - The pilot was awesome and especially with my very inquisitive and brilliant (of course) grandson who was lucky enough to sit between the pilot and myself. At no time did we feel any turbulence and they were excellent about rescheduling after our first date was rained out. PLUS they gave us vouchers for a sunset sail for that evening which was fantastic. We are boaters from Florida, but none of us sail so it was unique for us! One of the highlights of our time in Cape Town:)

Fantastic helicopter experience - A fantastic way to see Cape Town and the area from the air. Meghan our pilot was excellent and clearly loved her job and explaining about the area we flew over. Cape Town Helicopters and its staff were friendly and welcoming from start to finish. Highly recommend if you’re in Cape Town

They cancelled last minute by phone and wanted me to place the cancel order on Viator - This review is based on the service not received and how it was handled rather than the flight itself (although I'm sure the flights are breathtaking). I only give a 1 when I feel safety is at risk so not having tried their service I gave a 2. Please read further to see why. I booked and paid for a tour through Viator with Cape Town Helicopters on June 6th, 2023 for a tour on July 24th, 2023. I had limited time in Capetown and picked the things most important to me a month in advance. In the fine print of their tour on both Trip Advisor and Viator they say that in the event of bad weather or not enough people in the tour customers would be offered an alternate fly date or full refund. My low review comes because they told me my tour was cancelled just 3 hours prior to take off and 45 mins prior to my ride arrangements to get there was scheduled to arrive (transportation to the helicopter pad is not included). I had been invited to join new friends at the botanical garden and other things that afternoon that I declined to join because of my flight plans knowing it was good weather. By the time they canceled it was too late to join. Cape Town Helicopters' cancellation policy for customers is 24hrs notice or no refund and I believe that if they know they haven't reached the minimum booking of 2 people, customers should be given a warning at 24hrs out so they can choose how to proceed at that point. I could have filled my day with other outings had I had more notice. I live in Canada and won't have the opportunity to explore South Africa again anytime soon. My next concern was how the cancellation was handled. It was suggested I could pay for two spots (Over $1000) or switch dates. If I opted for a refund Cape Town Helicopters said I had to put a cancellation through Viator. Knowing the cancellation policy of 24hrs notice or no refund I was leery to do this and reached out to Viator directly. After some back and forth with Viator and also Viator and Cape Town Helicopters I eventually received my refund but this took nearly another hour of my day. Here's the difference of how it should have been handled in my opinion: Two days later I had another different Viator tour have to cancel due to weather. The other company gave me notice the day before. They also initiated and completed the refund for me, I did not have to do anything. In my experience is the way things work with Viator and TA when a company cancels. I wonder what would have potentially happened and the headache I would have had if I had blindly put forward a cancellation on Viator as per Cape Town Helicopters suggestion. Because I was leery of their request I also asked Cape Town Helicopters to send me an email so I would have in writing that they were the ones cancelling (instead of just my word that they said it over the phone). I never received this email despite assurance it would be sent outlining a recap of our conversation. (I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on this one that once they had been contacted by Viator they felt it was redundant and unnecessary at that point.) If you decide to book with them and you are solo I would suggest confirming they have another customer for that day before the 24hr mark so you can maximize your time in South Africa. In the fine print it says a minimum of two people per booking. I book solo all the time for such requirements on Trip Advisor and Viator and most companies if the policy does not permit solo riders the drop down bar either doesn't allow you to put just 1 person or the dropdown bar changes the price to charge double if you put one person. They book it as a potentially shared experience which is fine had I been warned 24 hrs notice there was no second passenger and had they put forward for the refund and not put it in my hands to deal with. Again those are the two reason why I wrote this review.

You’re important if you have money - We get to the place early and every group that came in behind us was helped before we were. Our time was set for noon and it was almost 30 minutes late. The manager (I assume) continued to pull other groups up in front of us and was rather rude about it. Customer service at this place was the worst we had while in Cape Town.
