In Edam, we’ll pass by historic landmarks including the square once home to the renowned cheese market. Our next stop is a local cheese factory located near Volendam, where you’ll learn how Gouda and Edam cheeses are made from the resident cheese expert. At the clog factory, you’ll learn about the production of this distinctive Dutch footwear. We’ll then journey back to the 17th century as we visit the quaint fisherman’s huts in Marken, along with the town’s fishing harbor and Protestant church.
