Admission to the windmill park and parking costs are included in this tour. - Zaanse Schans - Learn more about the Dutch wooden shoe making and see a demonstration how they make the Dutch clogs now. There is a possibility to buy the wooden shoes, the clogs and other souvenirs in the wooden shoe factory as well. - Molen De Kat - See the special paint mill from inside. This is the last working windmill on earth who can produce paint. Rembrandt the great Dutch artist purchased his paint at this windmill. - Jacobs Hoeve Cheese Farm by Henri Willig - Learn more about the Dutch wooden shoe making and see a demonstration how they make the Dutch clogs now. There is a possibility to buy the wooden shoes, the clogs and other souvenirs in the wooden shoe factory. See a real Dutch farm with cows and baby cows. You will get an explanation how the Henri Willig farm makes their cheese from the milk of the Jersey cows. They have an automatic milking robot and see how they milk their cows automatically. After the cows it is time to taste their special Gouda cheese. You can eat as much cheese as you want for free! There are more than 30 different types of cheese so enjoy! There is a possibility to buy the cheese and if you don’t have enough room in your suitcase you can let them ship the cheese to your country. - Smit-Bokkum - Have a very nice lunch in one of the best fish restaurants in The Netherlands. Enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour to the windmills, the countryside, a local cheese and clogs factory, and Volendam.
You will visit a unique Dutch park called the Zaanse Schans, not far from Amsterdam. Here, you will find some of the most special windmills in the Netherlands, such as the paint windmill, the sawmill, the spices mill, and the peanut oil mill.
Afterward, you will see how original Dutch clogs are made, with an opportunity to buy clogs/wooden shoes and souvenirs.
The second stop will be at the Henri Willig farm, where you will learn how they care for their cows, with a chance to see how they milk the cows and interact with baby cows. Then, you can taste more than 30 flavors of delicious Dutch cheese for free!
Finally, you will visit Volendam, where you will enjoy a nice lunch at one of the best fish restaurants in Holland, Smit Bokkum. You can order one dish and two drinks from the lunch menu, with an additional fee for extra orders.
