The engineering of a windmill is incredible. - Remco showed us the workings of a sawmill windmill and areas outside Amsterdam. Friendly, knowledgeable, and energetic. Can customize the tour. Would highly recommend.

Last Minute Tour - We tried our luck on a last minute tour & was surprised the we could go. It was a great day out to to see the windmills and was well worth it. Great information along the way and to see things not on the tourist map.

Great service - My parents were visiting Amsterdam for a couple of days. Remco picked them up at the airport without issues. He was very friendly, informative and helpful throughout the tour. My parents had a fantastic time. Would definitely recommend Remco to friends and family.

Great Windmill Tour - and more! - Remco was awesome! Not only did he do our tour through the Zaanse Schans windmills, with our remaining time he brought us to a hidden gem - this cute fishing village not far from where we were. He was easy going, knowledgeable and we would recommend him to anyone looking for a private tour while in Amsterdam!

Great Private Tour - My husband and I had a great private tour with Remco. He picked us up on time from the cruise ship terminal and we went to the Zaanse Schans area to see the windmills and cheese shop. He was very informative about the area and Holland in general and answered any question we had. He took us off the beaten path to some beautiful little villages. He also took us to a cute little shop that made clogs and cheese and we had private demonstrations of both. We highly recommend this tour.

The ONLY Way To See The Windmills! - Our group of 4 LOVED Remco! He is a native to Amsterdam and was so full of fun information and has a genuine love of his country. His PT Cruiser was very clean and very comfortable to tour in. I highly recommend this private tour!

Great way to do this tour- - We decided to do the private tour for 4 of us, since the cost per person was nearly equal to a tour bus and so much nicer. We arranged it through our hotel, Amsterdam Marriott. We were picked up in an air conditioned Mercedes luxury "van". Our guide gave us good information in advance of each place and we were not tied to any particular schedule. We stayed longer than normal at Zaanse Schans and so missed one other town - but that was fine with us. We did go to the clog and cheese factory and that was interesting and educational and I bought lovely clogs.

Zaanse Schans and Keukenhof Gardens - What a fabulous day! Originally, we had only booked the half-day Zaanse Schans tour, but given it was the height of tulip season, we extended our tour to include Keukenhof gardens, and boy was that a great decision. But even smarter was hiring Remco as our private tour guide. As a local, he knew all the best spots, took us behind the scenes (e.g., tulip farms, skinny bridge) and was such a great conversationalist. It’s a bit of a drive, and at no point did we ever have any awkward silence; my wife and I really enjoyed his company. It was so reassuring, since we booked several months earlier, to have hooked up, via text, with Remco about a week beforehand (hence our ability to finalize our add-on only two days earlier) to finalize our logistics. Yes it’s a few extra euros compared to the large bus tours, but trust me, worth every cent. Never any down time and we could have spent as much or as little time as we wanted. It would have been impossible to do so much in one day without having such a knowledgeable guide - and getting picked up and dropped off right at our hotel was pretty grand. Remco thanks again for the great day.
