Breathtakingly beautiful - If you go to kroatie this is really worth it, what we knew beforehand was very busy (early August) but still you walked quietly in many places, we had done route c, so you saw almost everything only piece by boat and train. What you see in the pictures is really how it is and even more beautiful and breathtaking our eyes have looked so clear what the water is. The hiking trails are also beautifully landscaped and appear very natural. Despite it was 36 degrees you walk a lot in the shade and it was fine to do. Would like to come back again in spring when the falls have more strength, some were dry or there was a small trickle, which is of course normal for and hot summer.

Day well spent + tips - I highly recommend seeing this national park it was beautiful! The directions from the guide were clear. Some things I wish I would’ve known before going: there is food in the park including sandwiches and drinks. The bus has no wifi or phone chargers but does have air conditioning. Finally I feel as though additional time would have been helpful I felt as though my partner and I walked fast and didn’t stop much and by taking route C we where worried we wouldn’t make it back to the bus in time and some people where late coming back to the bus. The transport time for the “train” which is really a bus was very long we waited for over 40 minutes in order to get back. Overall we had a great day and really recommend.

Well organised trip, National park was too busy - The trip was organised very well. We met with hosts and had a short walk to our coach. The travel was timely, about 2 hours to the destination with a short stop at a small convenience store. When we arrived, we waited on the air conditioned coach for 15 minutes for our tickets to arrive, then the tour guide took us straight into the park, explained the routes and where toilets were. We did route C which was approximately 8.5km. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. The route was very obvious and frequently signposted. We went in the middle of August and the walkways were very narrow, which made overtaking groups difficult. It was a constant single file stream of far too many people. We constantly had to stop for everyone in front of us to take selfies. We queued for the boat which took far too long. Others were getting agitated in the heat and pushing in to get ahead. The density of people thinned out after the boat trip. The 'panoramic' bus back to the starting point was much easier and took us back to a short walk from the start. We then boarded our coach and returned to Zadar. I have no doubt this trip would be better out of season and much more serene when there are less people in the park.

Awful transportation experience - The arrangements made to visit the park were great but we had a very bad experience with our return transportation. We had selected pick-up/drop-off at our hotel and the pick-up went fine. On the return, the bus pulled over somewhere (I don’t even know where) and we were told everyone had to get off the bus (no warning that this would happen). We and a few others who were also supposed to be dropped off at their hotel were all confused as to what was happening. Eventually the guide told us to walk over to where there were some vans nearby and his colleague would help us. He pointed to an area with multiple vans and groups of people and no clear contact person and then left us. We walked over and it was extremely disorganized and uncertain. The van drivers weren’t sure who they were driving and did not speak English. They spoke amongst themselves for a while trying to figure out what to do with us and other groups of people. Eventually, they crammed us into one van in which one person didn’t even have a seat and had to sit on the floor! The van was in very bad condition - struggling to start and stop. It did not feel safe. The van was making random stops, dropping people off at restaurants. Eventually the driver stopped somewhere and indicated it was our stop. We were dropped off and had no clue where we were. Thankfully, a friendly couple was able to direct us towards our hotel and we walked to finally make it there. An upsetting end to what was otherwise a great day.

Great day out but beware! - Plitvice is a beautiful destination no question! The crowds being brought in by bus loads spoils the experience. What we did not like is that the tour says max 25 but when you get there there are 2 full bus loads on same group tour We were asked to be there by 7:10, were told we’d be in the park by 10:00. We didn’t get in until after 11 am. We were supposed to have plenty of time, but the truth is we walked faster than the average and still didn’t have time to actually sit down and enjoy a picnic lunch. Largely because the crowds made it impossible to move fast. Elegance also charged us for our Plitvice entry tickets at €35 per adult then bought student ticket and gave them to us. This seemed just wrong! I had also written to Elegance ahead about the lunch and received zero reply in advance. Just be aware of what you are getting when you book this tour.

Lots of time waiting - Was told that the bus would pick us up at 7.20 and it arrived at 7.40. Had pre-booked tickets but sat on the bus for 40 minutes waiting for the guide to collect the tickets. It says the tour starts at 10am but didn’t start until 10.45. A lot of time spent waiting around

disappointed - The description says that there will be 25 people… we were 56! the tour guide was overwhelmed. We waited 40min for the boat and since we only had 5 hours to complete the C route we had to rush and made it a bit late to the bus. The time spent in the park was not enough and the guide didn’t help us to much. I do not recommend this tour … apparently there are buses that can take you directly to the parc.

Left us there - Hello, I’m reaching out for a refund for a tour i took yesterday. I spent $100 on what was sold to me as a guided and informed tour. I got neither of those. At no point was the timing of bus departures to get to the lot and time needed to get back to physically get back to the bus made clear. After letting the driver know that we were 15 minutes away, he told me he couldn’t wait and left both my and my partner to find another way home. It cost $32 euro to get a flexi bus back- cost over an extra hour of our time. I received half the service purchased best. At no point did i ever receive information on the lakes or any part of a tour. This was a misleading advertisement for a trip which would have been cheaper if i had just purchased flexible passes instead. I don’t know what kind of company would leave two people in an unknown country with limited cellular service to figure it out on their own. That’s why people book with tour companies in the first place. I would like atleast a partial to full refund to cover the cost of the extra expenses it cost me to get home. Attached below is my bus pass tickets. Thanks, Zackary Meyerle
