Sea Organ (Morske Orgulje) - The Sea Organ stands as a contemporary emblem of the city - an architectural marvel situated in the submerged section of the city’s waterfront. The movement of the waves through the musical pipes located under the sea’s surface produces a remarkable auditory experience, known as the music of the sea, which permeates the expansive area of the waterfront promenade. The same creator, Nikola Bašić, is also responsible for the Greeting to the Sun, positioned at the pinnacle of the Zadar peninsula. The Greeting to the Sun is composed of three hundred multilayered glass panels set flush with the stone pavement of the quay, forming a 22-meter diameter circle. It is designed as a three-dimensional installation in the form of an amphitheater, encircled by stone blocks that depict the planets of the Solar System and their paths.
