• Sea Organ (Morske Orgulje) - The Sea Organ has become a modern symbol of the city – a unique architectural wonder built into the underwater part of the city quay. The movement of waves through musical pipes beneath the sea’s surface creates a mesmerizing sound, known as sea music, that fills the expansive seaside promenade. The same architect, Nikola Bašić, is also responsible for the Greeting to the Sun, located at the tip of the Zadar peninsula. The Greeting to the Sun features three hundred multilayer glass plates set at the same level as the stone paving of the quay, forming a circle 22 meters in diameter. It is designed as a spatial installation resembling an amphitheater, surrounded by stone blocks with representations of all Solar System planets and their orbits. According to the renowned Alfred Hitchcock, this part of the Zadar quay offers a view of the most beautiful sunset in the world.
