Zagora Province - At 9 o’clock in the morning, we meet at the bivouac to get to know each other and organize the loading of the camels. When everything is ready, the caravan sets off for this first day of trekking. About 5 hours of walking per day (20 km), a good lunch break to eat and rest. In the evening, the guide and the cook set up camp for the night and prepare a substantial meal for us. During 3 days, our journey takes us through varied landscapes and terrains. Walking in these large open spaces, the simplicity of life in a bivouac, immersion in nature and the silence of the desert are an experience often described as deeply refreshing. On the evening of the 3rd day, we arrive at the magnificent site of the large dunes of Chegaga where we can climb to admire the sunset.
The next day, the 4x4 picks us up for the return trip. In 3 hours, we make the route of our three days of walking in the opposite direction and discover the landscape in a different way. At the bivouac a hot shower and a last midday meal await us.
End of stay, goodbye and thank you all.

A journey through the desert is often considered a transformative, calming experience for many explorers. They get the chance to step outside of their comfort zones with a sense of pride and satisfaction from the physicality of the experience. They uncover the hospitality and skills of the nomadic people, become enchanted with the beautiful vistas, and are intrigued by the vastness of the desert wilderness. Often, it is not just an outward trip, but also an inward one. We are particularly attuned to this, since the desert is the legacy of our forebears, and it forms a part of who we are. Our camp is not just a rest stop for travelers, it’s a hub for communal living and work. Our team is eager to share their knowledge, experience, and love for their homeland with you. Finally, we value the uniqueness of each traveler or group, and we are flexible in adapting to your pace and preferences.
