MARRAKECH – ZAGORA (7 HOURS DRIVE)

Zagora - Begin your 4-day Morocco desert tour from Marrakech, departing from your hotel or riad at 07:30. The journey winds through the Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi N’ Tichka Pass, which reaches 2260 meters above sea level, offering breathtaking views. Numerous stops are made for enjoying the scenery and photography. Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, visit the Taourirte Kasbahs. Enjoy lunch at your leisure before continuing to Zagora. The Draa River has nurtured a vast oasis stretching about 200 km at the base of the Anti Atlas Mountains. This valley has long been desired by nomads. On the way, pause at Tinzouline to view the rock graffiti. Along the route, several palm groves provide shade between Kasbahs and Ksours, interspersed with fields of corn, barley, vegetables, and henna plantations. Dinner and overnight stay in Zagora.

ZAGORA – MERZOUGA (6 HOURS DRIVE)

Merzouga - Today, traverse the volcanic peaks of the Anti Atlas Mountains, driving southeast through surreal landscapes past oases in remote locations. Stop for lunch at the oasis of Alnif before continuing to Merzouga, then to Erg Chebbi, where your Sahara desert camp is situated. Upon arrival, switch to camels and enjoy a trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes to witness one of the world’s most stunning views: the dramatic sunset over the color-changing sand dunes of Erg Chebbi! Return to your camp and prepare for a delightful Moroccan dinner under the stars, entertained by local nomads playing their drums. Be sure to admire the clear night sky and its constellations before retiring for the night.

MERZOUGA – DADES (6 HOURS DRIVE)

Boumalne Dades - After breakfast at your desert camp, travel along the 1001 Kasbahs, passing rivers, oases, and fortified Kasbahs to Tinghir, where you can enjoy a walk in the oasis along the Todgha riverbank to the Todrha canyons, where you will have lunch. In the early afternoon, drive through the Dades Valley, passing magnificent fortified Kasbahs and Berber villages, with the sunset providing a stunning backdrop to the Dades Gorges before returning to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

DADES – MARRAKECH (6 HOURS DRIVE)

Marrakech - After breakfast, drive alongside the Valley of the Roses to Kalaa Megouna, where you can visit a rose water ladies’ cooperative and learn how locals produce rose water perfume essences. Continue to the Skoura oasis, one of the largest in the South, and visit one of the Kasbahs there (time permitting) before proceeding to Ouarzazate for lunch. In the early afternoon, drive to Marrakech via Tizi Ntichka, and your driver will take you directly to your hotel or riad, concluding your 4-day desert trip from Marrakech.
