Day 1: Marrakech to Zagora

The journey begins at 7:30 AM, heading towards Zagora, situated in the southern region of Morocco, Souss-Massa-Draa. The route traverses the stunning High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’ Tichka, with a stop at the Ait Benhaddou village for approximately two hours to explore its fortified kasbahs, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Ait Benhaddou, with its historic kasbahs, is a popular filming location for many international movies such as The Mummy, Prince of Persia, Gladiator, and Lawrence of Arabia. After enjoying lunch at a delightful local restaurant in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco,” the journey continues to Zagora, crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains and passing through the Berber village of Agdez, lined with thousands of palm trees along the Draa Valley, the largest date palm valley in Morocco. Upon arrival in Zagora in the late afternoon, embark on a desert camel trek over the sand dunes, witnessing the sunset and reaching the camp. After dinner, enjoy the breathtaking starry sky accompanied by drum entertainment. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 2: Zagora Dunes, High Atlas - Marrakech

Awake early to experience the first magical light of the sunrise. After a traditional breakfast in the bivouac, ride camels back to Zagora to meet the driver, then return to Marrakech. There will be free time in Ouarzazate for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing the journey back to Marrakech via the Atlas Mountains. This marks the end of the service.
