Worth every minute! - This was more than a food tour. It was a history lesson. Our guide was amazing, kind, knowledgable and gave a tour better than expected. I loved learning more about Zagreb. The food we tasted…was spectacular!! The wine was great! And the cheese was so good. Croatia food is better that any other European country I have visited so far. We got to meet locals along the way and felt welcomed.

Fabulous food tour - We had a wonderful time on our food tour. Our guide, Marin, was engaging, informative, and great fun. He wove stories of Zagreb's history and culture in with delicious food from many regions of Croatia. Although it was an incredibly hot afternoon, Marin deftly guided us through the city and made it feel almost effortless. We learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. This is a must-do if you are in Zagreb.

Excellent Food, History, and Culture Walking Tour of Zagreb - We had a terrific food walking tour with Gabriella, visiting four different food venues and learning about the history and culture of Croatia and Zagreb in the process. Starting with truffle cheese (truffles from Istria), tasting a typical ground meat dish served at bar-b-ques, feasting on slow cooked veal and homemade gnocchi, and ending with sweet strukli at La Struk, it was all delicious as were the wines (and pear brandy) that were paired with each dish. In addition to the great food, we walked through the Gric Tunnel, learned why there are sharp pointed objects on the tops of buildings (witch catchers), and talked about all the construction going on in Zagreb. Excellent.

Eating your way through Old Town with a great guide - We took this tour on our first day in Zagreb and Croatia and it was a great introduction to the food as well as a good walking tour of Old Town. Dino gave a detailed tour of Old Town and it enabled us to go back another day and see all the sights again. The food was not spectacular but very representative of Croatian culture. The dessert was incredible. He also gave us some ideas on additional places to eat later in the week which worked out very well. Definitely recommend for a first day introduction to Zagreb.

Too hot but happy in Zagreb - The streets were alive at night with cafes and music. The Football (Soccer) was being broadcast at most cafes, and in the streets and in the main square. The people were very respectful and I felt safe walking alone at night. Plenty to choose from with food places from bakeries to top class venues. I found a couple of days to be enough for what the city had to offer. The Botanic Gardens are small. Almost everything closes on Sunday, and I was there on a public holiday as well. It was extremely hot and humid. Happy with accommodation at well located Hotel Dubrovnik.
