Embark on a journey through history that has shaped our present, visiting two countries: Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
The adventure begins in Zagreb, with the first destination being the notable Jasenovac Concentration Camp Memorial Site, where thousands were imprisoned and executed.
In 1941, the Independent State of Croatia, under the Nazi-supported Ustaše regime, enforced racial laws, targeting Serbs, Jews, Roma, and others. Many lost their lives in camps, with Jasenovac being the most notorious. Prisoners endured forced labor, starvation, disease, and executions. The memorial site preserves the camp’s remnants, monuments, and survivor accounts.
In Bosnia, discover the Partisan resistance led by Tito, who fought against the Nazis, Ustaše, and Chetniks. The defeat of fascism led to the formation of communist Yugoslavia, introducing new challenges to the region.
During the day, enjoy a lunch break in Bosnia and Herzegovina, featuring traditional Bosnian cuisine that satisfies every appetite. Please note that lunch is not included in the tour price.
