Within the city walls there are numerous highlights to be found. Some of the most famous such as: The st. Mark’s Church, Museum of Broken Relationships, The Stone Gates and mysterious painting and many more. -
Tunel Gric - Grič tunnel passes 35 meters below the medieval Upper town and was used as early as the Middle Ages. In the WW II this 350 m long pedestrian tunnel was used as the bomb shelter (as well as during the 90’s Homeland war).
Ever since the 2016 the tunnel is opened to the public and preserved in its original shape since the WW II. - Dolac Market - This open air food market is known amongst the locals as the belly of the city. The very best thing to do here is to find yourself a nice spot in one of the cafes and simply do as the locals do. Coffe drinking and people watching…on a sunny day it doesn’t get much better that this.
