- Karlovac - On our way to Plitvice Lakes we will pass through the city of Karlovac and learn about it’s historical importance.
- Rastoke - Our first stop is going to be picturesque village of Rastoke where you will stretch your legs and have a short break for coffee, tea or some other beverage. Your guide will share with you stories about the area assist you in taking some beautiful photos.
- Rakovica - Before we get to the National Park, you will get a chance to try some exquisite local cheese and learn about it’s production.
- Plitvice Lakes National Park - Before entering the park, you will get an overview of the trails. The tour includes a guided tour of both upper and lower lakes as well as the boat and bus ride. Your guide also adjusts the pace of the tour to your preference and manages the group to navigate through crowds. During your walk you will be mesmerized by the natural beauty of the National Park and the phenomenon of the creation of the Lakes. The tour finishes with the viewpoints of the Lower Lakes.

One of the greatest experience in Croatia. - Karlo is experienced and professional, very informative and everything can be tailored.
We asked for a pick up in Split, Karlo prepared snacks and cold sports drinks for us. We had a guided walk and beautiful photos were took inside Plitvice lakes national park, a little picnic with homemade ham and cheese also amazed us.
Before heading to Zagreb, we made a stop in Rastoke, whole journey was safe and wonderful. I really recommend this route or vice versa for people who want to transfer between Split and Zagreb and visit Plitvice lakes.

LOVED LOVED LOVED - LOVED LOVED LOVED our time at Plitivic with Karlo. He’s such a fabulous and fun host showing us around and all the ins and outs of the area. It’s mind blowingingly stunning and was an absolute highlight of our trip. I’m not a gushing reviewer but this really was outstanding and having Karlo show us around made it an even more memorable experience.

The best day ever! - This was the most incredible tour. The National park is stunning, nothing like we have ever seen before. Karlo was extremely hospitable and tailored the tour to our wants and needs. The walk was very manageable for our family and car ride comfortable. This was our second tour with him because our first was so amazing, we knew this would be too. It exceeded our expectations. Karlo brought homemade products from his family’s farm, that were incredible. He is so friendly and easy going, that we had the most wonderful day with him. He is also very professional and knowledgeable, that made it interesting as well.
We couldn’t recommend this tour with Karlo enough. By far the best we have ever been on.

Walked the 4-6 hour loop C around the lakes and had amazing views and an amazing experience! - Karlo was an excellent tour guide, timely, personable, informative, accommodating! I recommend him and any of his tours to anyone without doubt in my mind you’ll have an incredible experience!

Wonderful trip to lakes with exceptional guide - Our guide Karlo gave us the most amazing day. We have been in Europe four weeks and this day has been the highlight. The lakes are so beautiful but Karlo made the day for us. He is so considerate from snacks in the car, picnic lunch to his careful driving and excellent commentary. He is very knowledgeable. We only speak English and his English is excellent. We found Karl so good we did some other trips with him.

An unforgettable day at Plitvice Lakes - Seeing Plitvice Lakes has been on my wishlist for many years, and it was everything I thought it would be and more. The park and falls are beautiful and are a very special place. Karlo was a fantastic guide. He took such good care of me. The snacks and picnic lunch he brought were perfect and a wonderful personal touch. He thought of everything and was prepared for anything. I felt that he wanted me to have the best time possible. He is so easy to talk to I felt like I spent the day with a friend. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Croatia and Park, along with answering all my questions about Croatia.If I come back Croatia I will definitely take more tours with Karlo. Thank you Karlo for a great day I won’t forget.

Karlo is the best! - The park was just magical! What even made it more special was Karlo who made the experience very personal and unique. It made a huge difference that he asked about our preferences. He is open to offer additional ideas or to adjust the program along the day. So organized, flexible and caring. Truly a five star service. Will definitely book with him again.

Magical Day at Plitvice - This was by far one of the greatest experiences that I have had traveling! The lakes are magnificent and the colour of the water is stunning. It was so clear that we saw some fish as well. The waterfalls were breathtaking and walking along wooden boardwalks over the water was a really cool experience. Our guide, Karlo, taught us about the history of Croatia and the history of the preservation of the lakes. He went above and beyond by picking us up in Zagreb, personally driving us to and from the lakes, preparing a fantastic homemade charcuterie lunch for us and taking some amazing photos of us. Every tour that we had with Karlo was an amazing experience and I highly recommend not only this tour, but all of the other tours that he offers. He truly made our visit to Plitvice a day to remember!

Picky planner meets her match! - We booked a few days with Karlo to cover both Zagreb and the Plitvice region and it was a far-above-average, beyond-excellent experience. We've tended to have good experiences with our trips by booking the kind of tours he offers here, but for this trip his efforts stood above the rest.
I highly recommend not just the single tours offered here, but reaching out to Karlo to design a customized tour. It's not our usual route when traveling, I'm a good planner and usually piece our trips together myself. But we asked Karlo to find us a specific and unique experience and he arranged the whole thing, plus we added his suggestion for a hike in the lakes region and a tour of Zagreb. The result was a fantastic trip.
His local contacts are unmatched, he arranged a BnB that was excellent, and he was able to give us a stunningly comprehensive set of experiences in just a few days, AND leave us wanting to come back to Croatia. Karlo is personable, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. If you end up driving with him, he's a super safe driver with a great, clean, smoke-free car, and leaving the driving to him was probably around the same cost as renting ourselves without all the aggravation.
I can't recommend Bespoke Croatia enough, and we look forward to seeing Karlo again to do Slovenia someday!
