Highlights
  • Zakopane - Explore Zakopane and the Polish mountains. Discover unique architecture, traditional clothing, and local cuisine. Take in stunning mountain views from the cable car and witness the World Championship ski jumps. Visit the historic wooden village and uncover the secrets of making “Oscypek,” a smoked sheep cheese unique to this region.
  • Chocholow - Just 20 minutes from Zakopane lies Chochołów, a village renowned for its nearly identical wooden houses. Residents traditionally wash the wooden walls with soapy water twice a year, before Christmas and Easter, keeping the buildings looking new despite their age. Nearby, in the glades, highlanders produce the regional sheep cheese, “Oscypek.” During the trip, you’ll visit this area to learn about the cheese’s production history and enjoy a tasting.
  • Gubalowka - In Zakopane, a cable car takes you to the summit of Gubałówka mountain, where the upper station sits at 1,126 meters above sea level. From here, enjoy breathtaking views of the Polish Tatra Mountains. The area also offers numerous tourist attractions, along with restaurants and cafes where you can savor mulled wine while admiring the mountain scenery.
  • Krupowki Street - The most famous street in Zakopane, featuring traditional bazaars, restaurants, and cafes. You’ll have free time to explore this vibrant area.
  • Tatra National Park - Surrounding Zakopane is the Tatra National Park.
  • Chocholowskie Termy - After some sightseeing in Zakopane, your driver will take you to a thermal pool complex 30 minutes away, where you can enjoy a 2.5-hour therapeutic soak in hot springs.
  • Wielka Krokiew - Ski Jumping Hill - Zakopane hosts the Ski Jumping World Cup every winter, a popular event in Poland. While access to the ski jumps is restricted to professional ski jumpers, you can still appreciate the venue.

A worthwhile trip - The Zakopane trip was excellent. The pools were divine and the company was great. The driver, Lucas, was a very nice person. He drove well and gave us a lot of information.

Recommended - Great trip. It’s a long day but well worth it. The village and shepherd’s hut are interesting but Zakopane is amazing. Great views from up the mountain and really clear air. Absolutely nailed it with the last trip being the thermal baths. WOW! Really, really impressive. Joanna was our guide and was - rightly - massively proud of her country. She was very friendly and really enthusiastic. This was a great day out.

Go see the mountains - Mike was a very helpful and good driver. The Zakopane was a typical ski resort town, but the wooden village was different. The thermal baths were very crowded the day I visited because it was cool and rainy. Think more of a pool resort than soaking in a thermal pool. This would be a perfect family day.

Fabulous day don’t miss it - I thought the day was pitched just right no time to get bored. Amazing views & scenery especially at the top of the cable car at Zakopane. The villages where we stopped at were lovely. Thermal baths were fabulous and so big with so many things to do. Marx was a great guide and really looked after us. Would definitely go again. Thanks for a fab memorable day.

Fantastic day out - Had a fantastic day out. The villages we visited were absolutely charming and Zakopane itself is lovely. Lots of places to eat and drink and tons of souvenirs. The gravity slide was very good too and the funicular railway up the mountain. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for a great day out

An epic tour exploring the Western Carpathian region - Zakopane is the most gorgeous place, I’m only gutted we didn’t have more time there. I had lunch at a rooftop terrace overlooking the Tatra mountains and then took the cable car up the mountain and the views were beautiful. I also went on the gravity slide, a lot of fun! We then went to the thermal baths. I spent most of my time there at the spa and experienced a ‘brewing ceremony’. It was a very relaxing end to the day. The tour guide Joanna was lovely and very informative. Would highly recommend!

Zakopane trip - The mountain was absolutely beautiful, our guide Joanna was an absolute star, so knowledgeable on the local area and all delivered with charm and humour. Would have liked more time on the mountain and less in the springs, but that is just a personal choice. Both were fab. Highly recommend, great value for money.

Good value but baths full of kids - Fantastic guide. Good value full day trip. Don't visit thermal baths in local school holidays as full of kids.
