Highly recommend tour - Our bus guide was very Informative, gave stories and information along the way. Entertained and fully engaged with everyone on the bus. Gave us recommendations of places to visit and eat at various stops. Thermal baths was busy but not impacting our visit and we were able to use all the facilities comfortably. Highly recommend Thank you Mike our tour guide for a lovely day

Great, friendly and informative guides. - Tour guide and driver (Adam & Joanna) were both really friendly and spoke fluent English. They were really informative and kept us updated on the plan for the day. Finding out about the culture of the highlanders and trying the local cheese was great and much more exciting than I thought. The spa is HUGE. I would recommend going in the colder months, there's nothing like swimming in a themaspa outside while it's snowing.

Nice day - I really enjoyed it, complete tour. Attentive guide and driver. I highly recommend it. The town, the Alps and especially the lakes are all wonderful.

Day trip from Krakow to Zakopane and back - We had a lovely day from Krakow to Zakopane. The day was largely as described, however I was expecting an English speaking guide. Our driver was also our guide and did a decent job with describing what we were seeing, but other than that our ride was pretty quiet. We had ample time at each of the stops and loved ending the day in the relaxing thermal baths!

Not for adults looking for a relaxing escape to the Polish highlands. - Us: active mother 70/daughter 40 interested in history, culture and outdoor activities. Pros: - Joanna was enthusiastic and organised and gave clear instructions, but was borderline patronising - we didn’t need a 20 min brief on how to use a water park. I suspect however that this is learnt behaviour from previous hapless tourists… - The water activities park was entertaining in parts - The natural scenery was beautiful - This would possibly be an enjoyable tour for children/families. Cons: - the tour involved 4 hours of unguided driving, scenic but boring. Joanna joined us in the wooden village (Chocholow) Some companies do provide tour guides the whole way. - the wooden village was ok with some explanation of highlander history and culture, couldn’t go inside without additional charges. - cheese tasting at wooden hut at side of road, interesting, one piece of halloumi-esque cheese but very much part of the tourist conveyor belt. - Zakopane. Well. It clearly is a beautiful natural area but the tour described ‘ticket to top of mountain by funicular railway’. We did take a funicular, but it was a 3-4 min journey to the top of a small hill that looked at the mountains. The view was great but was surrounded by a touristy hellhole with overpriced kiosks and food and con artists that even our tour guide told us to avoid. There were plenty of additional activities for children (at extra charge) but of no interest to 40/70 yr olds. We left as soon as we could in the hope the town was better. It wasn’t. More naff touristy kiosks and nothing to fill 2.5 hours with, except a long (overpriced for Poland) lunch. - The ‘thermal baths’ are a water park. It is a good water park but it’s important to realise it’s not a relaxing adult spa. There was a separate area for adults but you couldn’t spend 2.5 hours there. The tour guide was very enthusiastic about a swim up bar and daiquiris outdoors. This is ok if it’s your thing, but the DJ and crowds alongside it really weren’t for us. The water slides were good fun, and really the main reason we gave a 2nd star. Bring your own towel and water shoes/flip flops. - Our driver drove dangerously throughout - speeding regularly, tailgating, hooting, stopped speeding only when he used one of his 2 phones (WhatsApp and phone calls), which he did not use hands free. At one point his driving made me yell out loud as I thought he was about to run over a pedestrian. We had other tours in Krakow where the driving was nothing like this. - We did not receive any brochure or written material at any point (this was advertised) - The ‘hotel’ pick up was further away than anticipated on a random street corner. Google Maps was essential!

Not worth booking - Had to be picked up from another hotel which we had to walk 15 minutes to, delayed pick up, very uncomforatble small coach for 3 hours each way, cheese tasting was a joke small piece of chewy cheese, thermal baths were essentially a water park not what was suggested by the pictures. Couldn't hear the group representative, as we were squashed at the back of the coach. Very disappointed.

Disappointing - My sister and I were really looking forward to this trip. Our first stop was Chocholow village with the wooden huts, we stayed here for about 20mins and walked up and down the main road to look at the houses. Our second stop was the view of the mountains. Unfortunately the weather was overcast so we couldn't see the mountains which couldn't be helped however the cable car was having maintenance work so we couldn't go on it. We were given 1.5hrs to explore however most of the little shops and cafes were closed so there wasn't much to do. The next stop was zakopane centre which was nice but it would have been better to have a bit more time here. We then visited a wooden shepherds Hut to taste cheese and vodka but the Hut was on its own on the side of a main road and is built purely for tourists. The thermal baths were the best part of the trip although make sure you take flip flops to prevent additional costs. We had plenty of time to explore the spa and enjoyed the swim up bar! A lot of the information regarding places to visit was sent via WhatsApp which meant using my data which was slightly annoying. On a positive note, our tour guide Michael was amazing! He was friendly, very informative and had a great sense of humour!

Very disappointed - Be very wary of this Tour operator. We booked this trip through our hotel after showing the hotel the picture of where we wanted to go. Krakow Direct Tours put us on the wrong trip. We paid 1820 PLN English (374.55) We were taken to the Zakapone Thermal Spa only. Krakow Direct agreed when they collected us we were on the wrong trip. We got back 200PLN (English £38.55) good will gesture. This tour operator are very unwilling and unhelpful when trips don’t go to plan. We paid well over the top for the actual trip we went on Definitely would not recommend or use them again.

Constant changes to time schedule and disappointmenting experience from start to finish - Awful from the start. No hotel pickup or drop off even though this was booked and confirmed. Message received night before telling us to get to a new point at another hotel 2hrs later than booked time. Transfer then took us to get another meeting point to get on another mini bus consisting of 24 people crammed into a Mercedes Vito for a 21/2hr journey! Absolutely hideous!! Cheese tasting was just 1 small piece of cheese per person at the side of the road, and the thermal springs was more like an outdoor heated public pool complex than natural hot springs. Very poorly run trip and low budget experience. Not recommended at all!
