Very nice - The boat was almost full and because we were 6 we got a private boat. The Guide was very friendly. We have spotted turtles have been in the caves with the small boat as far as possible and had a stop of 1 hour on the turtle island.

Better than expected - We booked the trip with honestly quite low expectations of seeing any turtles and were just up for a sunny boat trip. The captain had a good search around for turtles and the other operators all help each other when one is spotted. We managed to see two turtles surfacing next to the boat and had a great swim at both stops. The boat wasn’t overcrowded and the captain was probably the most excited person on the boat when each turtle was spotted, which made for a fun memorable experience. The trip was excellent value and we would recommend it to anyone.

Enjoyable private tour with swimming stops - We had fantastic time on the 3-hour cruise. There were about 20 people on board, the atmosphere was nice and captain was very friendly and cared for our experience. We quickly spotted a turtle and spent quite some time observing it. We really enjoyed both swimming stops too, saw lots of fish. I would advise to take your snorkeling equipment with you. We really recommend the tour! Thank you

Fantastic experience - The excursion to Zakynthos something FABULOUS, UNIQUE: we got on a glass-bottom boat, we first saw the turtles, it was a lot of fun to go looking for the turtles. Then we left to explore the wonderful island, the skipper told us the various anecdotes, then a dive in the crystal clear waters and finally a break on a beach for about an hour. The times well marked and comfortable. We were really very very good. Highly recommended!!! you will not regret it. As the boarding point is far away, Yotomu himself provides a bus that transports you to the boarding point. Remember to book it separately.

Great value for money, definitely recommend. - Booked through Oreo Daily Tours where we are staying in Tsivili. We wanted to see turtles and thre were 2 teips avaible. Both identical except for the type of boat - the more expensive option (€5 more) had a more modern boat - after speaking to the rep we went for the more traditional, cheaper option, glass bottom boat (she did not try to push us either way). Private taxi from their office at 9.15 to the harbour area, approx 25min drive. Taxi driver was an employee of Oreo tours and stayed and made sure we got our place on the boat. It's a busy area, the boat trips are not run by Oreo tours so assume they sub-contract through the boat trip companies. Boarded the small boat, its capacity was 24 and there 23 of us and we were really not over crowded. Headed out of the harbour and saw a turtle almost straight away - we stayed in the harbour for around 10mins watching the turtle. Captain made sure not to crowd it. Headed off to Keri caves which was really good - boat was small enough to go into several of the caves - great photo opportunities. Anchored there and we swam for around 25-30mins in the crystal blue sea. Then we headed to "Turtle island" - called so as its one of 5 locations that turtles lay their eggs. This area was sectioned off to protect them. Again a great spot for swimming, but it's very busy with very little shade. We had an hour here which for us felt too long. No sign of any turtles, unsurprising given how busy it was - boat load after boat load coming and going. You're able to purchase hot dogs, snacks, drinks etc. Lovely spot, but too busy. This is the only reason I've not given it 5 stars. We headed back and Oreo tours were there to meet us and bring us back. It was super busy at the harbour and the number of boats heading out at 1pm made us glad we chose the earlier 10am time slot as it felt much quieter. For €30 per person, it's great value for money and would 100% recommend it.

Would rather discourage - In key points: Meeting point 10 minutes before at the boat dock. Boat arrived about 30 minutes late, so waited with a larger group almost three quarters of an hour in blazing sun. No drinks or toilet facilities nearby. Messed up when boarding and felt twice as many as seats on the boat (invisible why, the surplus people were then transferred to another boat, which apparently belonged to another provider). It all seemed chaotic and disorganized. After a delay of about 45 minutes we finally started and we were brought to this turtle island without any special information (the boat driver speaks only medium English) and dropped off here on a completely crowded beach for over an hour and a half - to be able to “bathe” here... The strip on the beach is cordoned off after a few meters (presumably to protect turtles, but you can't see any here). At least two “kiosk boats” were then among the other boats docking around 10 to 15. No shade either, and the rest of our group didn't understand why and why they dropped off for so long. Nobody wanted that long stop. So our boatmaster just dropped us off and then disappeared again (probably to drive another group from A to B in the roughly one and a half hour during our involuntary long swim stop). Again everything seems quite disorganized or nothing is explained. So the officially one-hour bathing stop turned into one and a half hours and we started with a delay of three quarters of an hour. After that everything happened very quickly (from twice 45 min as announced). Short boat trip to the back of the island Marathonisi, short stop at the cave and then we went on to the Keri Caves - or Cape Marathia and not to the actual caves further west... Instead, another half an hour to jump into the sea from the boat. Water, location, everything already nice, no question, but after the delays already incurred (45 minutes at the start and almost another 45 minutes on this crowded beach) we would have preferred to see more of the coast and the caves). Then quickly back to the original mooring and - oh, how surprising - a short drive on to a larger water turtle. Probably the one who probably “lives” there - see Google Maps “Turtle Spot”). Overall we were on the road for these 3 hours, but the bottom line was that we were disappointed: Disorganized, poor infrastructure (no shade, drinks, toilet), no explanations from the “tour guide”, who was actually only boater, delay and delays, too little of the actually announced coastlines and caves as well as no turtles - except for the one at the pier, which you probably see without boat trip from the shore. All in all, the effect of a tourist trap. Just the number of other providers who want to attract customers almost intrusively. Hundreds of tourists at one point. That's nice, but whether you need it that way... And better inform in more detail if there are not other tours, smaller, or with more targeted and longer duration on the coast/caves. Then they went by car from above to the steep coast (Myzithres Rock, Scenic Viewpoint) and were then appeased here again - mad view 😃 The one before was more of a 3-hour boat trip or net almost only 1 hour with 2 bathing stops, one of them much too long. You can do it, but there are certainly more sensible possibilities of a boat tour with a sightseeing background. Yassas

Not worth your money! - Not worth the money. You first have to wait a few minutes after the agreed time to get on a boat, everyone is just standing there and don't really know where they should be. The boat, with glass bottom, is not much. Then we are barely out of the harbor and lie still for a few minutes and look for a turtle. There are still about 3/4 boats around us looking. This poor beast is probably being fed here and the people from the organization know he's around here. They call this ‘turtle spotting’ because after we have seen the turtle in question, the skipper heads towards the marathonissi island as quickly as possible. You will be dropped here for about 1.5 hours and then picked up again. The beach is small, due to deposits in front of the turtle breeding grounds and extremely crowded. Then sailed quickly to the keri caves, there 20 minutes in the water and hop back to the harbor. Once but never again!!

Don't do it - The tour was by far the worst of the three tours we booked on Zakynthos. The boat was so full that we stuck together like the sardines. First we tracked and surrounded the already threatened turtles. Afterwards we had a short swim stop at a pretty nice but crowded spot. For graduation, we were transported to a crowded beach for an hour. Definitely not recommended:/
