Great, memorable experience! - My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience! We got an insight into the culture of the locals and got to learn a lot about their ways of living, as well as tasting some of their delicious foods 😋. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and each person really made an effort in making this experience memorable. We laughed, danced and feasted. Thank you for global encounters for organising this experience for us, and shout out to Mcha for all his help and sharing all his knowledge about Spice Island and Zanzibar!

Best all around activity - I’ve traveled to many different countries and done numerous excursions/experiences and this has been the best one so far. What an amazing experience, I can’t wait to come back and bring my kids . I truly feel blessed to have had this experience.

Iron Chef Zanzibar! - It was amazing! A truly immersive experience. Everyone was very punctual professional and the visits to the fish market and spice/vegetable farm were highlights of the tour. The cooking instructors were very patient and helpful and ensured that the guest had a hands on experience in all aspects of food preparation. The food plentiful and very delicious. A must if one is in Zanzibar and wants a truly authentic cultural experience.

Kidichi Kitchen Experience, the silver lining to my recent business trip to Zanzibar! - I recently read an article about happiness. One of the recommendations was to always try to look for a silver lining to make everyday life and work more interesting. The Kidichi Kitchen Experience was the silver lining to my business trip to Zanzibar in April 2023 (YES some of us go to Zanzibar for work, not just fun!). I only had one day off and since I have been to Zanzibar many times and seen quite a bit I decided to spend it on the Kidichi Kitchen Experience. I really enjoyed everything about it, the busy fish market, the walk through the spice farm, the cooking experience and of course the delicious meal at the end! I've taken both my family and guests to spice farm visits in Zanzibar and had I known about the Kidichi Kitchen Experience earlier I would have aimed for it instead. It gives you so much more! I had a great day with lovely people!

A great way to spend a delicious morning in Zanzibar - We had a excellent morning of cooking with Kidichi Kitchen Experience. Though it was a very rainy day, we enjoyed it thoroughly. We ended up being treated to a private session being only 3 people. The amount of food we made was amazing. Maybe a bit too much for just 3 of us. Everyone was extremely friendly and I am looking at how I can bring more people to them.

A truly immersive, one-of-a-kind local farm and cooking experience - My mom and I did this experience during our 5 days in Zanzibar, and it will be one of our favorite memories! From the start, Peter confirmed the booking and times the night before, and I appreciated the organization. Our guide Mcha and our driver met us right on time and we started at the fish market. We were the only tourists but Mcha made us feel comfortable and included as we bought a fish at auction. We then drove to Kadichi. All the way up, Mcha gave us very interesting background on Zanzibar and he answered all our questions. At the farm, we met the team, including the chef Asma, and several of her wonderful assistants and staff. The farmer Abdul led us around the farm, and we picked or saw mangos, starfruit, nutmeg, allspice, oranges, jackfruit, spinach, eucalyptus, and more! We headed back to the kitchen and had a snack before we started prepping and cooking. We got to crack coconuts, fry shrimp, slice mangos, and more as we helped prepare traditional foods via traditional methods. Through it all, Asma and team and Mcha were kind and helpful and giving us all kinds of information. We all ate the meal together (at our request) when the food was ready. Then Mcha even called our transfer driver that would take us to the hotel to meet at a better, less congested area to shorten our ride home. I would highly recommend. Pointers: prepare for all day. Consider your footwear as you will be in the fish market and walking around the organic farm. Don't be afraid to dig in and get the full experience! We are especially grateful to Mcha for his explanations and help. He even took lots of photos and videos for us so we could just keep working without stopping for photo ops. We had a great time!

A forest feast not to be missed! - An authentic and immersive experience hosted by friendly and knowledgable locals - eager not only to share the beauty of the spice island but also their cultural ways. I learnt, I laughed and I feasted. An afternoon with the Encountours team should be on everyone's Zanzibar list.

Best Local Experience! - Excellent full day! Visiting the actual local fish market to bid on our own fish was really cool. No locals there. Then an hour of picking all the veggies, fruits and spices from their farm was amazing! The team was amazing and learning all their local prepping and cooking techniques was a very special experience. The food was amazing too!!
