DAY ONE ZANZIBAR TO MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK BY PLANE AND ARRIVAL FOR SAFARI \n\nOn this day you will meet our driver ( 8am) at your Hotel/Home in stone town to transfer to the Airport for your flight to Mikumi National Park, the flight leaves Zanzibar 9:30am. This flight will take around 2 hours to arrive in Mikumi National Park, this means you will arrive around 11:55am where you will meet your driver guide at Mikumi Airstrip and proceed for a game drive which will go till sunset with stops for hot lunch at 1pm. \n\nDinner and overnight at Mikumi Bandas \n\nDAY TWO: HALF DAY GAME DRIVE AND TAKE YOUR FLIGHT BACK TO ZANZIBAR \n\nOn this day early morning 6:30am you will meet your driver and go for a morning game drive. This is recommended time since there is possibility to see a lot before the sun is strong. You will have a break for a hot breakfast around 9am then go for another game drive till 13pm where you will come back for your hot lunch. Lunch will be for only 30 minutes and then you will be dropped at Mikumi Airstrip where you will take the flight back to Zanzibar or Dar es salaam and meet your driver who will drop you to your home/hotel and this will be the end of this tour\n\nPoints of Interest\n\n- Zanzibar City

Mikumi National Park is positioned at the northern frontier of Africa’s largest wildlife sanctuary - the Selous. A paved road that connects Dar es Salaam and Iringa intersects through. This park makes the most navigable segment of an expanse of wilderness that spans 75,000 square kilometres (47,000 square miles), almost reaching the Indian Ocean in the east. The broad landscapes and rich wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain, Mikumi’s well-loved highlight, often earn it comparisons to the renowned Serengeti Plains. Lions oversee their grass-covered dominion – and the herds of zebra, wildebeest, impala and buffalo travelling through – from atop the levelled peaks of termite mounds, or, during rainy weather, from high positions in the trees. Giraffes graze in the separate acacia groups that surround the Mkata River, patches of shade also preferred by Mikumi’s elephants.
