Guides & Nakpupenda Sandbank were very nice. - Very nice guides, great places visited and a great experience at all. We also had a great lunch with fresh seafood and fruits for desert.

Above expectations - At the beginning I was a bit worried due to bad comments but this trip amazed me. We was all the day with guide Alex, a wonderful gentlemen from Zanzibar. He speak more than 3 language what amazed me. We visit prision island and sand bank, he explained everything in detail and was always smiling. For launch we got full dish of fruit and seafood, very tasty. I recommend this experience if yo visit Zanzibar.

Island trip - Tour guide very informative and helpful. We were treated to a wonderful seafood platter right on the beach

Excursion - We did the excursion with a lovely guide, always attentive and very helpful who speaks 7 languages. Nakupenda beach is postcard beautiful but Zanzibar Prison. Apart from the turtles, nothing really interesting.

A little disappointed - Excellent meal and very friendly guide. On the other hand, the excursion was not carried out in the direction announced, that is to say that we first visited Prison Island and then Nakupenda. Our excursion was cut short because the island disappeared from 2:30 p.m. due to the tide. We are a little disappointed because we were not able to swim or enjoy Nakupenda.

Faster than expected - It was not as planned and we stayed barely 1h30 on Nakupenda Island. It was very quick afterward the staff was very professional

Terrible. - This trip was a disaster! Would not recommend. The weather was stormy which delayed the day - which I appreciate is beyond anyone's control. Our guide took us to prison island and said that we could not go to nakupenda due to the weather ... then he said when the weather had changed and was calm that he couldn't take us there because he had no money to organise another boat .... we tried to explain to him that we had already paid through viator. The guide Alex was dismissive of our complaints saying that nakupenda is just a sandbank, and we tried to say we have paid £160 for the 2 of us to go on this trip to prison island and nakupenda which should be about 6 hours long. He took us around prison island and seemed in a bit of a hurry and was mostly on his phone throughout. we stayed for about an hour. Communication was poor. No food or drink was provided. Would not recommend and have contacted viator for a refund. So disappointed as this was our last day of our holiday and the most expensive excursion we had paid for.

Terrible, they didn't pick us up and we spent money unnecessarily since they didn't even refund us - They didn't refund us due to their mistake, we waited more than an hour for the transfer and no one came, really terrible! We will never book with trip advisor again!!!!!!

Terrible Experience - 0/10 would not book or recommend. After being picked up from our hotel by the driver who was supposed to drive us to the boat, we were very concerned as he pulled over multiple times and made side trips that involved stopping the car, other people coming up to the car, him passing them mysterious baggies and receiving cash in return. Upon arriving at the location where we were supposed to launch, we were already deeply uncomfortable. To make matters worse the boat that was supposed to take us over was in poor condition and the drinking water we were supposed to use was bug infested. At this point everything so far had been so bad that were not comfortable getting on the boat and decided to cancel the trip and asked our driver to take us back to our hotel. Importunely the "excitement" didn't there. On the drive home our driver got in a car accident then got in a physical fight with three men from the other vehicle. This fight carried over into our vehicle as we were in the back seat. The driver appeared to have stolen the keys to the vehicle that hit us. It seems likely that the "accident" was intentional. Overall, this booking was a nightmare and a traumatizing experience and not at all what we paid for. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Horrible tour waste of time - The tour took so much time . It was a bad management of time and completely unnecessary ! I would advise people to NOT take this tour . First , when we got the island we were given several times for like . First 11:30 , 12:00 , 12:30 . The food didn’t come until 1:30 . Many of guest weee exhausted waiting for food . The food was sitting until everything was cooked . The food was disgusting and COLD . I was so disappointed in the service , the laced attitude , and to have everyone waiting just get to cold food was a disaster !
