Selous Game Reserve - This Luxury Day Safari Tour with a professional photographer is ideally designed to provide a lifetime awe-inspiring safari experience. Often, our guests refer to this iconic safari tour as a “from Sunrise to sunset safari tour” because the tour is straightforward at 6 a.m., departing from Zanzibar and arriving in Selous at 6:30 a.m.
Our guests will explore the untouched and authentic remote wilderness areas that boast Tanzania’s largest elephant population and many lions, leopards, African hunting dogs, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, giraffes and zebras.

The safari tour is well-organised; there will be enough tea and coffee breaks, cold water, soft drinks and a lunch buffet during midday. Our photographer will capture beautiful photos from start to finish, and you will be provided with the photo link a few days after your safari.

Finally, you will end the tour with a sunset flight from Selous to Zanzibar, with a transfer to your hotel for a drop-off.

In the early hours, your Zanzibar safari commences as you board a small plane to the Selous, an important wildlife sanctuary in Africa. Our guide will meet you upon landing at the Mtemere airstrip, where you’ll be welcomed and briefed on the day’s itinerary.

Your adventure begins with a safari drive, observing the wildlife in the sanctuary, traversing the savannah and beside bodies of water. These drives offer the perfect opportunity to spot large animals such as elephants, buffaloes and predatory lions. Furthermore, the Selous is known to host Africa’s largest number of wild dogs, offering a truly exceptional experience if you happen to come across a pack.

At midday, your guide will arrange a lunch stop in a picturesque spot with a clear view of the park. Post-lunch, the exploration of the African wilderness continues leading up to your return to the airstrip at approximately 18:00 for your pre-scheduled return flight to Zanzibar.

Excellent experience - From pickup to dropoff, an excellent experience. Great people driving us around getting the best pictures of the animals spotted. The photographer Mike is a great added value and secures that the many moments will be well documented with the pictures taken during the trip. One more thing, our Polish became at lot better during the trip 😂

Incredible adventure ! - Going on safari with Tomek is an amazing adventure! He made sure that the full-day trip was perfect in every detail: from coffee and local delicacies on site, through drinks (of all kinds) throughout the day in the jeep, a session under the baobab tree or an afternoon lunch in the company of funny monkeys. I also recommend this trip to families with children - safety is maintained at the highest level. Even though it is a full-day trip, you certainly will not be bored - seeing animals in their natural surroundings up close cannot be replaced by any visit to the zoo. A smile on the faces of children and yours is guaranteed! Tomek is an amazing man - a traveler, the entire trip will be made more pleasant by his amazing life stories, stories about animals (in a way that will be interesting for you) as well as recommendations for spending time in Zanzibar The last thing I recommend is leaving your phone in your backpack: enjoy the moment, remember the wonderful view of nature, and the photographer will make sure that the photo souvenir stays with you for life.
