Exploring the Wild Heart of Selous (Nyerere NP)

Nyerere National Park - After enjoying an early breakfast at the camp, set out for another adventurous day in the vast expanses of Nyerere National Park; the day is dedicated to exploring the diverse ecosystems within the park, which include rolling savannahs, lush wetlands, and dense forests.

Anticipate encounters with majestic elephants, graceful giraffes, formidable lions, sturdy buffalos, striped zebras, and possibly the elusive African wild dogs. Midday, savour a picnic lunch in one of the park’s scenic spots, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.

In the afternoon, delve deeper into the bush, with potential visits to lesser-known areas of the park where you might spot hippos wallowing in muddy waters or crocodiles basking on the riverbanks. As the day winds down, return to the camp for some time to unwind, followed by another enjoyable dinner and overnight stay amidst the natural beauty of Selous

Nature Walks, Boat Safari, and Village Tour before Returning to Zanzibar

Nyerere National Park - The final day begins before dawn with a refreshing tea or coffee, setting the stage for an immersive guided bush walk that offers a unique opportunity to experience the bush up close, with expert guides sharing insights into the smaller wonders of the wilderness that are often overlooked during game drives.

After the walk, return to camp for a hearty breakfast before embarking on a serene sunrise boat safari along the Rufiji River. This excursion provides a different perspective of the park, allowing you to witness wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birds in their natural riverine habitat.
