An excellent and economical way to get a solid grounding on the history and area. I'm glad I did it! - Alfa provided a great tour of stone town, explaining about the various administrators of the island, the fort, the architecture and cultural inspirations and a walk through the bustling seafood and spice market. You can also pay 5 USD or 11500 TSH (better value) to see the Anglican church and slave cells/ museum which I'd highly recommend. This was a great intimate tour, I learnt heaps and I highly recommend it for your first day or 2!

Friendly, attentive guide, as if we were with a member of the family. - We were a group of just the four of us. The guide was very friendly and attentive, asking us about our interests and adapting all the time to our needs and preferences. He arranged our transfer to the hotel, accompanied us to an ATM, left us time to visit the city. During the tour, he told us the history of Zanzibar and answered our questions with sympathy. The price seemed reasonable compared to what I had seen elsewhere. He gave me confidence. In fact, we also booked the Mnemba excursion with him, which we also enjoyed very much. He advised us on the best way to get there, and it was the right thing to do, because he shortened the boat transfer to make it less tiring. I highly recommend him for this tour and any other.

Let yourself be guided with your eyes closed!! - We recommend Khalfan with your eyes closed for a guided tour of Stone Town. Thanks to him, we discovered the history of Zanzibar, the heritage and culture of the island. Without it, we would only have wandered around the city, while Stone Town is well worth a visit in depth! Asante Sana!!
