It also offers insights into the Portuguese occupation until the Omanis took over in 1698.
• Forodhani Gardens - The park becomes very lively after sunset, as both tourists and locals gather at the popular street food market in the main square to enjoy delicious Kiswahili and Zanzibari dishes such as grilled seafood, samosas, cassava, and sweet potatoes.
